As winter turns to spring, the grass gets green and the temperatures warm up, so does the excitement. This year marks the 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL. And if you thought Woodstock happened in Woodstock think again. The world s most legendary concert lasted three-days in August 1969 and it was held on Max Yasgur s alfalfa field right here in the Sullivan Catskills town of Bethel just 8 miles from the Villa Roma Resort. All of us in the Sullivan Catskills are planning special events and celebrations to mark the golden anniversary including of course, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts which sits on the historic site.
