4 Campanile di Val Montanaia full day hike Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Montanaia Valley is a wild region of the Frulian Dolomites. Its most symbolic peak is Campanile di Val Montanaia, an isolated rock pinnacle standing in a mountain pass. It s 300 m tall and really looks like a bell tower. This peak was also called the petrified scream of a damned by the famous Italian writer Mauro Corona. Don t you wanna come and see it with your eyes? During this 1-day trip we ll hike up the Montanaia Valley for about 900 meters on the gravel, but the unbelievable sight from the glacial circus on top will pay back the effort. If you are looking forward to seeing some wildlife, this trip is a great opportunity for that. The hike to the Campanile di Val Montanaia can be tough for those who have no experience, but the view from the glacial circus at the top will repay all the fatigue. If you are not trained, let me know, and we will evaluate the ascent times (you can also do this hike in two days, sleeping at the Perugini bivouac). The ascent is almost entirely on the scree, once you reach the Campanile you can continue up to Montanaia gap to enjoy an even better view. isit-dolomit.com

5 Rifugio Giussani full day hike Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch This tour will lead us in the heart of the Tofane, the mountains of Cortina d Ampezzo. We will go over the edge of the woods to immerse ourselves in this rocky world where the First World War has left remarkable signs on the landscape. From the hut the view opens on the side of Val Travenanzes, with wonderful sights, and the view towards south is simply breathtaking. From near the Passo Falzarego we will first set up through the woods, towards the Rifugio Dibona, and then on gravel towards the Rifugio Giussani, in an open environment that will allow us to enjoy the panorama on all fronts. This is a a walk suited to everyone, although it can be challenging for those who are less trained. 6 Tre Cime di Lavaredo full day hike Price: 200 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch, car transit (25 ) Join me for a 1-day hiking trip around Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the most famous and iconic peaks in the Dolomites, also known as Three peaks of Lavaredo. Tre Cime di Lavaredo is a rock formation of three peaks. They are: Cima Ovest (western peak), Cima Grande (big peak) and Cima Piccola (little peak). This super easy walk is a must-see place in the Dolomites. During our walk, marmots and an incredible variety of mountain wild flowers will be our pals! We will drive by car to the Rifugio Auronzo (the road is at a charge, the transit of each car costs 25 ), and from there we will begin the ring route that will take us to admire the three peaks from each side. 7 half day hike Cinque Torri Price: 150 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch The five towers are the classic postcard of Cortina d Ampezzo, a symbol of the local rock climbing group, the Squirrels. This unique geological formation will be the cornerstone of this short half day excursion that will make you enjoy the magnificent views both towards the Falzarego Pass and the Giau Pass. We will leave the cars at the parking lot at the start of the skilift, we will go to Lake Baign de Dones and climb up a trail and do a stretch down the road to Rifugio Cinque Torri, where we will go to explore the surroundings of these towers and the Open Air First World War Museum. 8 full day hike Mondeval Price: 200 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch This simple and panoramic excursion will take us on an easy summit of the Dolomites. Mondeval s top is affordable for anyone, and at the same time it offers us the opportunity to deepen various environmental and historical-anthropological themes. A tour with a cultural background but with landscape of great impact, which will not leave you indifferent. We will start from the Giau Pass, and with a slight uphill pass we will arrive at the Forcella Giau, hence the Mondeval will be visible with its sweet slopes overlooking the Baste Lake. We will hike to the top and then we will descend to see the boulder under which a mesolithic burial was found, witnessing the ancient attendance of these places by hunter-gatherers, before returning to the starting point. isit-dolomit.com

9 full day hike Croda da Lago Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch This ring tour will allow us to explore the Croda da Lago group from the Giau Pass, and to walk a fair distance with little difference in altitude. Green pastures, rocky passes and vertical walls will be the background to a walk that will open gorgeous views over several peaks: The Tofane, the Pelmo, the Antelao, the Cristallo, we will see all of these and other peaks, and we will pass by the Baste Lake and the lake of Croda. We will start from the Giau Pass, and with a slight uphill pass we will arrive at the Forcella Giau, then we will traverse the green pastures of mondeval to reach Ambrizzola Pass and descend towards Rifugio Croda da Lago and its enchanting lake. 10 full day hike Sorapis Lake Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch The hike to the Lake of Sorapis is a classic of the Dolomites. It is one of the most popular places in the area, the lake with its incredible color recalls tourists from all over the world. The itinerary is simple even if the trail exposed in some parts, but it is not tiring and is suitable for everyone. We will leave from the Tre Croci Pass and we will go to the north-west spur of the Sorapis group, along an almost flat trail, which will lead us straight to Rifugio Vandelli and Lake Sorapis. The trail has some exposed stretches with safety handrails, but it is not technically difficult. Civetta, is the destination of tourists from all over the world. Immersed in an important naturalistic setting, rich in history and in the shade of one of the most important climbing walls of the dolomites, it will surely give us many tips during our excursion. We will start from Palafavera, we will hike on the old military mule track to Coldai refuge, and we will continue crossing the Coldai Pass to reach Lake. 12 Rifugio Cava Buscada full day hike Price: 200 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Best season: from may to october This corner of the Friuli Dolomites Natural Park is a paradise for hikers. Rifugio Cava Buscada, a former stone quarry now converted into a mountain hut, is located on the right-hand side of Val Zemola, about 1800 meters above sea level. We will explore the old quarry and try to spot the wildlife in an environment that has extraordinary biodiversity. We will leave from Casera Mela and climb along the forest road, watching the quarry artifacts still in the valley, and enjoying the wonderful surroundings of Val Zemola, with its extreme biodiversity. Once we get to the hut, we will explore the old Red Ammonite quarry, and go hunting fossils between eagles, chamois and marmots, and then we will go down the path once used by quarry workers to get back to their starting point. isit-dolomit.com

13 full day hike Duranno Pass Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Best season: from may to october One of the wild corners of the Friuli Dolomites Natural Park, Forcella Duranno will surprise you for the breathtaking scenery. The ibex colony that lives on this mountain gets close enough to fill us with emotions, and the impervious environment will give you the satisfaction of getting to the top. We will leave from Casera Mela, we will descend towards Zemola river along an old road, and then we will begin the challenging hike that leads to Rifugio Maniago. From the Rifugio Maniago another hour of hike separates us from our goal, at which every effort will be paid back! 14 Rifugio Chiggiato full day hike Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Best season: from may to october Chiggiato Refuge is definitely one of the most scenic spots in the entire Marmarole group, a unique window on the Friuli Dolomites and on the Mt. Antelao, the king of the Dolomites. This walk will make us discover the beautiful pine forests that overlook the Oten valley, with beautiful landscapes and still wild mountains. We will leave the cars at Praciadelan and begin the excursion following the road leading to the Oten val, then we will turn right to take the path that, with a steep climb, leads to the Rifugio Chiggiato through a forest of scots pines. isit-dolomit.com

15 full day hike Vajont Valley Price: 200 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Best season: from april to november The valley of Vajont is sadly known throughout Italy for the disaster that in 1963 caused the deaths of nearly 2000 people when a large slice of Mount Toc fell into the artificial lake causing a tsunami that had a duo times stronger impact than the bomb of Hiroshima. During this tour we will see the places that will help us understand how this state massacre has taken place, but we will go further, and we will also see the beautiful natural biodiversity of this valley that is included in the Friuli Dolomites Nature Park. We will start from the dam, go up to Casso, from where you have the best panorama on the landslide, and then head towards Erto along the Coal path, a splendid historical-naturalistic itinerary. At Erto we could devote ourselves to a tasting of typical products, after which we will explore the streets of the historic center before returning to the starting point. isit-dolomiti.com www

16 Rifugio Bosconero full day hike Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Best season: from may to october Mt. Bosconero is one of the less frequented groups in the Val di Zoldo, and maintains its remote and wild charm. This hike will take us to Rifugio Bosconero, a pearl embedded in this impervious environment, easily accessible with a convenient path. Here we will stay contemplating the peaks and then go to explore the surroundings before returning to the starting point. We will start from Val di Zoldo, near the lake of Pontesei, and we will go to the Rifugio Bosconero along a path in the woods. After the stop at the Rifugio, we will continue our excursion down the other side of the Val de Bosconero, closing the ring at the starting point. isit-dolomit.com

17 Road of the 52 tunnels full day hike Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Best season: from may to october The Road of 52 tunnels, build in 1917, is now 100 years old! And to celebrate this, I invite you to this fantastic 1-day trek. This road of tunnels on the rocky south walls of Mount Pasubio, in Veneto, was built during WWI, and it s of course full of history. Every step of this road is full of traces and memories, and each year thousands of hikers come to walk the path built by the soldiers on the rock heart of the mountain. At the end of 1917, in the middle of one of the coldest winters of the century, the 33rd Mining Company of the Italian Army started building a new military road. They were climbing up on a completely unknown section of the mountain. It was wild, with high cliffs and narrow gorges. In fact, it was a territory with no trails and no topographical surveys available. The result of these men s work is an incredible road with 52 tunnels. Near the top, it will lead us to Rifugio Papa, with wonderful views on the surrounding mountains and Vicenza s flats. We will start from Bocchetta Campiglia, and we will take the 52 tunnel road to Rifugio Papa. On our way back, we will descend along the Scarubbi Road, which will lead us back to the starting point. isit-dolomiti.com www

Piana Price: 300 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Mount Piana has been the scene of tremendous battles during World War I, its flat surface has hosted the front, trenches and soldiers for years, even during the stormy and snowy winters like that of We will see what remains of these trenches and we will try to imagine what happened there a hundred years ago. We will start from Antorno Lake, near Misurina, and we will go up to Rifugio Monte Piana and then to Capanna Carducci, exploring the trenches and other remains that the war left on this flat and wide summit of the Northern Dolomites isit-dolomit.com

19 full day hike Mt. Tudaio Price: 200 total (max 10 people) Extra: lunch Mount Tudaio is an immense war work, a fortified summit, but during the First World War it did not have a prominent role. An impressive road comes to the summit, scattered with barracks and deposits, with the impressive rings that were used to tow the cannon for the domes of the fort. In addition to the works of the First World War, we will also visit the tunnels of the Second World War, which go to the bowels of the mountain. We start from Piniè, and take the military mule track that leads to the summit. A wide, steep path that will take us over 1200 meters up in altitude. Many stops along the route will allow us to visit the barracks and deposits throughout the trail. Its impressive north west face is one of the symbols of the Dolomites, known as the wall of walls. We will traverse through many different habitats and we will enjoy stunning views over the valleys and the Dolomites! It s also an easy trek, which is ideal as a first experience in the mountains. We will start at Capanna Trieste and we will spend two nights at different mountain huts along the way to finally reach the town of Alleghe and it s beautiful lake. 29 03/FAQ How do I book my customized experience in the Dolomites? Booking your Dolomite experience with us is really simple. Once you have chosen the activities you want to do with us from the tour section of the site or our catalog, just send an to info@visit-dolomites.com indicating the activities and dates you choose for your stay. As simple as that! We will reply as soon as possible with the details on the booking, and the payment methods. How do I pay my customized experience of the Dolomites? To confirm your reservation we require payment of 30% of the total amount in advance, and only upon receipt of the deposit your reservation will be confirmed. The payment of the advance must be by bank transfer, with the modalities that will be ed to you, while the balance will be required upon completion of the activity and can be paid in cash or by bank transfer. Can I get the deposit back if I cancel my prenotation? The deposit is only refundable if cancellation by the customer takes place at least 40 days before the date set for the booked activity. If the cancellation is made by the guide, the deposit will be returned. Can I get a discount if I book more activities? If you book at least three different activities, you will be charged a 10% discount.
