4 Hughes Landing Nestled between Town Center and Research Forest you ll find Hughes Landing, a convenient place to check out live music and enjoy happy hour. This pedestrian friendly boulevard is home to a variety of premier dining options on Restaurant Row and within close proximity to Northshore Park, the Embassy Suites and picturesque views of Lake Woodlands. 1

5 Attractions Northshore Park Grab your family, friends and a blanket and enjoy a picnic and free concerts at Northshore Park between late spring and early fall each year. Northshore Park also hosts the swim start of the always anticipated Ironman Texas triathlon competition every spring. Hughes Landing Bandstand Yet another good option if you are looking for an outdoor concert venue. Located behind Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing, here you can always find events open to the public with a 100% chance of enjoying yourself. The Bald Eagle Since 1999, on an undeveloped piece of land east of Hughes Landing s Restaurant Row, bald eagles have declared The Woodlands home. In the tree tops a large nest can be seen from Lake Front Circle Drive and on occasion a lucky birdwatcher will see the creatures take flight. Dining Hughes Landing is home to some of the best patios in town. Del Frisco s Grille offers the largest on Restaurant Row and is perfect to watch the sunset over the lake and sip on their signature VIP Martini, made with Svedka Clementine Vodka infused with fresh Hawaiian Pineapple. 6 Along the Waterway Traveling down the Waterway District is a great chance to experience a variety of restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and luscious outdoor green spaces. Watch exciting water installations perform synchronized choreography representing earth, wind and sound in a way that welcomes interaction. Be sure to pack the kids swimsuits to enjoy the interactive water feature for a cool time. Live Music at Waterway Square Take advantage of live concerts with vendors, children s activities, strolling entertainers, fireworks and more at each featured event. While the events are free, lineups are impressive. Koi Pond Found on the south side of the Waterway, the 60,000 gallon Koi Pond was designed to be a place for quiet contemplation and meditation, where visitors can reconnect with nature. A variety of exotic plantings enhance the garden which surrounds thirty-three Koi, considered living artwork. Town Green Park What makes this park a stand out is its kid-inspired atmosphere including a literary labyrinth with life-size Aesop s Fables and a children s amphitheater ideal for anyone with an imagination. Town Green Park is also home to popular events including: Red, Hot & Blue 4th of July activities, the Waterway Arts Festival and craft beer festivals. Dining Waterway Square District is known for its variety of dining experiences, from Hubbell and Hudson Bistro, a progressive concept with top-quality ingredients from Executive Chef Austin Simmons, to the divine tres leches and Latin flavor at Américas. Or pull up a chair at The Goose s Acre Irish Pub whose 125+ year old bar was shipped over the Atlantic Ocean from Ireland. The Pavilion is the summer home of the Houston Symphony, the home away from home of the Houston Ballet and a presenting venue for the Houston Grand Opera. 16 Getting Here & Around AIRPORTS: One of the many convenient things about visiting The Woodlands is its proximity to major airports. Take the Hardy Toll Road for the fastest route to George Bush Intercontinental airport and be there in 30 minutes. Or, if you re heading to William P. Hobby airport, the highway will get you there in well under an hour. WATERWAY CRUISERS: The Woodlands Waterway Cruisers are a fun way to get around The Woodlands Town Center. Enjoy a relaxing ride and take in the scenery on a Cruiser along the Waterway, a 1.4 mile long corridor providing the perfect way to explore all the amenities that The Woodlands has to offer. WATERWAY TROLLEYS: The trolleys provide transit along The Woodlands Waterway through The Woodlands Mall and Market Street. Trolley service also stops at several businesses, restaurants and attractions along The Woodlands Waterway. This 3.2 mile route operates seven days a week in the Town Center area. Trolley service is provided free of charge to customers. There is no service on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year s Day.
