To the East, the Caribbean Sea is studded by a patchwork of coral cayes and the Belize Barrier Reef UNESCO World Heritage site, the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. Directly behind Turtle Inn to the west lie the calm waters of the Placencia Lagoon and spectacular views of the Maya Mountains and Victoria Peak. South of the Placencia Peninsula is the Monkey River, formed from the Swasey and Bladen rivers that flow from the jungle-clad peaks of the Maya Mountains across the coastal savanna, and out into the extensive mangrove flats and barrier islands that hug the coastline. Turtle Inn, Francis Ford Coppola s beachside resort situated just north of the Creole village of Placencia, is a seafront hideaway combining natural wonders with luxurious style. Less than a year after Francis and Eleanor Coppola acquired Turtle Inn in 2001, it was swept out to sea by the forces of Hurricane Iris. Turning disaster into triumph, the Coppolas led a two-year reclamation project, creating a beautiful beachside refuge perfect for those seeking a stress-relieving escape. Turtle Inn s unique location also provides a wealth of exciting activities, from the clear Caribbean waters to the magical inland rainforests, making it an ideal destination for an adventurous vacation or rejuvenating getaway.

2 2 DÉCOR: Francis Ford Coppola has always been drawn to the rustic, al fresco Balinese style of living. Wanting to bring that same relaxed ambiance to Turtle Inn, he worked with renowned architect Made Wijaya to design Turtle Inn. Wijaya incorporated the signature architecture and design details of Bali into Turtle Inn, creating individual thatched roof villas and cottages. A spacious floorplan surrounded by screened windows and porches allows the ever-present sea breezes to naturally cool each villa and cottage. The décor is reminiscent of the traditional Balinese style of living, with rich colors and hand-crafted natural wood carvings, creating a warm and inviting space. Authentic Balinese textiles accent the rooms with colorful bedspreads and hand-weaved artisan rugs, and Indonesian artwork adorns the walls. Handcrafted wood doors with intricate carvings and framework evoke the feel of a true Balinese home. Comfortable sofas and chairs complement the deep chocolate-hued woodwork and floors while soft lighting and the subtle hum of ceiling fans set a laid back beach atmosphere throughout each unit. Expansive screened-in bathrooms offer guests plenty of room with double vanities and deep baths - modeled after Japanese soaking tubs - featuring hand-painted tiles from Thailand. A screened door leads outside to a lushly landscaped private walled garden featuring an outdoor shower where bamboo nozzles are used as faucets. ACCOMMODATIONS: Turtle Inn's 25 individual cottages and villas offer guests privacy and relaxation just steps from the Caribbean Sea. Accommodations are a variety of one-bedroom cottages; twobedroom, two bath villas, perfect for families or friends travelling together; one Family Pavilion, a large Beach House, the Star Fish Cottage with private pool and the Lagoon Bungalow with private pool. 3 3 STARFISH COTTAGE A private seafront home, fully equipped with a kitchen, living room, full bathroom on the main floor, and two air-conditioned bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed, and there's a shared bathroom on the second floor. The Starfish Cottage is ideal for families or two couples traveling together. The cottage also features a private deck and swimming pool. Special additions can be added such as a personal attendant, a golf cart for drives into Placencia, or even a private yoga class on the deck. Maximum occupancy of four people. FRANCIS FAMILY PAVILION This exclusive Balinese-inspired pavilion is designed to maximize privacy and is located at the southern edge of the property, surrounded on three sides by a high walled tropical garden. Two bedrooms and baths with outdoor showers and a third intimate second story sleeping loft provide spacious accommodations. Between the two bedrooms is a living area and screened porch with comfortable sofas, writing desk, and small kitchen with a wet bar area, refrigerator, and stove. The Pavilion features antique hand-carved wooden doorways and detailing, stone sculptures, and artwork personally selected by Francis and Eleanor Coppola. The Family Pavilion also includes a private pool and thatch-roofed dining terrace offering views of the beach and Caribbean Sea. A dedicated personal attendant will anticipate guest s every need. Maximum occupancy of six people with additional roll away beds. SOFIA S BEACH HOUSE This exclusive beach house is designed for parties looking for a little extra space and privacy. The main house features one upstairs main bedroom with a king-size bed, an adjacent room with bunk beds suitable for young kids under 12 yrs old, and a media room that may be converted to a full sea view open air bedroom with queen bed, 2 baths, private pool, fire pit, full kitchen, large living room area opening on the pool with large wooden deck, and outdoor BBQ dining area with a private chef upon request (at a charge). Additional accommodation: two separate guest cottages with king size beds and private full bathrooms. A private attendant is provided to care for your every need. Maximum occupancy of ten people: 8 adults and 2 young kids, using media room set up, and kid s bunk bed. CORAL CAYE YOUR OWN PRIVATE ISLAND Sheltered behind the world famous Belize Barrier Reef, Coral Caye is a completely private 2-acre island that is ideal for a romantic, restorative or adventurous get away. Just a 25 minute (8 mile) boat ride from the resort, the island features a small coral sand beach and fascinating mangrove ecology. Once used as a commercial fishing camp, it has now been enhanced for travelers who want a once in a lifetime experience, while still preserving the natural, local flavor. The coastal decor consists of airy fabrics, open space, seaside-inspired colors, beachy accents, sturdy woods to withstand sandy feet and salty air, and tones to reflect the sea and sky. Two dwellings and a great house are the only buildings on the island and can accommodate from two to ten guests. The Coral cottage, is our newly built dwelling, ideal for a couple or family with young children has a king bed and a sleeper sofa in the cozy living area, front porch, hammocks and full bathroom with indoor shower and an outdoor shower. The Seahorse cottage, ideal for extended family or additional friends is situated near the mangrove cove where one can find many seahorses. It features one queen bed, two additional twin beds and an adjacent bathroom with a cold shower. The Great House is your indoor/outdoor living room for your stay. With amenities including a full bar, music, bathroom, kitchen, dining table, board games, dart board and more this space for celebration or family meals can be

4 4 converted in the evening to accommodate added guests with daybeds. All meals will be prepared daily by the island caretakers whether that be a morning coffee, fresh fruit or egg breakfast, a refreshing light salad or sandwich lunch and a fresh caught seafood dinner BBQ Creole style. We can also customize the experience with add-on items (at extra charge) such as al-fresco massages, a private chef and private attendant for a more elaborate meal, a guided fishing tour, pre-ordered specific grocery items, a cake or special treat to celebrate an occasion. The Mare Restaurant Fresh seafood and traditional Italian cooking, featuring Coppola family recipes, come together at Turtle Inn's flagship restaurant. Local seafood sustainably harvested daily from the fertile reefs just offshore and fresh vegetables are delivered from the organic garden. The restaurant features Dutch Indonesian Rijsstafel twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Gauguin Grill This intimate beachfront restaurant features fresh, charcoal-grilled seafood served on woven plates accompanied by a choice of Balinese-inspired sauces and spices. Comfortable Adirondack chairs sit directly on the sand beach along the curved bar, offering panoramic views over the sea to the offshore cayes. The bar is an intimate place to relax and grab a light snack, and serves delicious Belize cocktails & wines from Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Skip White Bar Paying homage to the previous owner Skip White, whose hobbies included a keen interest in marine biology, this open-air bar adjacent to Mare Restaurant offers a selection of drinks. The setting provides the ideal place to chat about the day s adventures over a glass of Francis Ford Coppola wine or a Belikin Beer. New Wine Cellar Opened in December of 2015, Turtle Inn now boasts the largest wine cellar in all of Central America with over 1000 bottles in-stock and a wine tasting experience is available for guests to enjoy privately or among other guests in our wine garden. The impressive display is a wall of wine adjacent to our Mare restaurant with Coppola varietals, Inglenook and wines from Chile, Italy, France and Argentina. The wine tasting experience includes a tasting of four varietals, paired with local cheeses and is charged per person attending. Kids Gelato Bar Neatly tucked beside the Skip White Bar hangs a sign Gelato Bar No Adults Allowed. Kids are invited to enjoy a supervised party atmosphere at the sand-floored Gelato Bar and enjoy locally made gelato which includes flavors from strange-sounding exotic fruits to popular Italian classics. Kid-sized tables and chairs offer a place for kids to hang out and have fun.

Known for its traditional Thai massages, the Sunset features natural herbal remedies. Spa services are offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in the open-air Balinese Rice House and include massages, body scrubs, facials, and coconut hair rinses. Turtle Inn features a variety of activities and excursions designed to explore the region. The Belize Barrier Reef just offshore provides some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving experiences in the world. The entire property is created using low profile, environmentally sound designs, thatch, hardwoods, pine and bamboo. Windows, screened doors, ceiling fans and high, thatched ceilings allow for sufficient air circulation to enable hot air to escape designed to keep cool without air conditioning. Flow control showerheads are used in the indoor bathrooms. Turtle Inn also uses local and regional plants that do not rely on intensive irrigation for landscaping. An on-site organic garden supplies some herbs and produce for the restaurants. Additionally, Turtle Inn is committed to supporting the community s environmental efforts and joins forces with many different conservation groups such as SEABelize, Fragments of Hope Coral restoration, Pack4 apurpose, Rainforest Alliance and Belize Recycling Company.
