18 Visit Ubud Village & Monkey Forest Visit Ubud Palace, Saraswati Temple s Lotus Pond, Ubud Market and local Art Galleries while in central Ubud. Ubud s Monkey Forest is a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex. Its official name is the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. The village s residents view the Monkey Forest as an important spiritual, economic, educational, and conservation center for the village. Spiritual reading and water blessing at Tirta Empul Water Temple Build in 962 AD, Tirta Empul Temple is an iconic temple near the town of Tampaksiring famous for its purifying holy water. 19 Visit UNESCO and Historical Sites Visit picture-perfect Jatiluwih Rice Terraces located in the region of Tabanan and among the most striking examples of terraced agriculture in the world. Arguably Bali s oldest and most complex example of the Subak rice terrace system of agriculture. Or visit Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi Village, a Royal Temple of Mengwi Empire and is a place to pray to the god of manifestation (Wisnu) which is based at the top of Mount Mangu. Holy Temples Tour Built in the 9th century, the façade of Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) is a relief of various menacing creatures and demons carved right into the rock at the cave s entrance. The primary figure was once thought to be an elephant, hence the nickname Elephant Cave. Pura Besakih (Mother Temple of Besakih), located on the slopes of Mount Agung in eastern Bali, is the largest and the most important temple of Hindu religion in Bali. Perched nearly 1000 meters up the side of Mount Agung, it is an extensive complex of 23 separate but related temples with the largest and most important being Pura Penataran Agung.

20 See the Kecak Dance & Night Safari Developed in 1930s, Kecak is a form of theatrical Balinese dance and music drama, performed in circle of primarily men, percussively chanting Cak and moving their hands and arms. Bali s ARMA Museum (Agung Rai Museum of Art) provides the venue for this colossal performance.
