ACC North, Anaheim Convention Center s Latest Expansion Welcomes Meetings & Conventions: On the heels of ACC North s grand opening last fall, planners are utilizing the building s 200,000 square feet of new flexible space in exciting ways. The top level of ACC North is column-free, providing groups the flexibility to create a number of room configurations from educational breakouts to concerts and galas. ACC North s 2,000+ rigging points are giving way to exciting new activations such as hanging a car every ten feet. The 10,000-square-foot balcony facing Disneyland Resort gives a memorable opening or closing night with their magical fireworks display to ring in the evening. Cementing its place as the largest convention center on the West Coast Anaheim Convention Center is now 1.8 million square feet and has joined the one million-square-foot club list of facilities offering more than one million square feet of exhibit space. 2 Hotel NEWS Four Diamond Hotel Development in Anaheim Welcoming 23 million visitors year-round and home to over 150 hotels, Anaheim s accommodation portfolio is expanding to offer new AAA luxury hotels and resorts. Westin Anaheim Resort is Underway: The seven-story Westin Anaheim Resort adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center will feature 613 stylish guestrooms, including 101 suites, three restaurants, two bars including a rooftop lounge overlooking Disneyland s nightly fireworks, a resort-style pool and a marketplace. The hotel will also feature 11 meeting rooms totaling 42,000 square feet of customizable and high-tech meeting space including a 16,000-squarefoot grand ballroom. This is the first newly built Westin in Southern California in over 25 years; the property is set to open in Orange County s First JW Marriott Breaks Ground in Anaheim: A JW Marriott is currently under construction, located adjacent to the Anaheim GardenWalk in the heart of the Anaheim Resort district. The 12-story $150 million property will have 466 guest rooms as well as meeting space for groups. Construction began in late 2017; opening expected in late 2019 or early Luxury Hotel (1700 South Harbor Blvd.) to Replace Anaheim Plaza Hotel & Suites: Located within a mile of the Anaheim Convention Center on the corner of Harbor Blvd. and Disney Way, the 580-room property will have two signature restaurants, swimming pools, 50,000 square feet of meeting space and a lounge overlooking the Disneyland Resort. Construction on the $208 million hotel has not begun. Disneyland Resort Reveals Plans for New Hotel: Disneyland Resort will add a fourth property and first new build in 20 years. The 700-room, AAA Four Diamond hotel will offer many luxury amenities including two pools, a fitness center, concierge service and a kid s play area. Guests will enjoy viewing fireworks at the rooftop restaurant that overlooks the resort. The new location will transform the west end of the Downtown Disney District and anchor a new gateway to the Disneyland Resort. Construction on the hotel begins summer 2018 with a slated 2021 opening. Disneyland.disney.go.com Hotels Planned Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort and Convention Center: The 178-room limited-service property will stand five stories and feature a second-level pool deck, breakfast room, meeting room and fitness room. The property is located within a mile of the Anaheim Convention Center at 100 W. Katella Ave. and is set to open this summer. Element by Westin: Anaheim s first Westin property will open this summer at 205 W. Alro Way, within four miles of the Anaheim Convention Center. The five-story, 174-room hotel will offer a pool deck with barbecues and lounge chairs, suites and studio rooms, and a fitness center. Cambria Hotel & Suites: The new property, located within a mile of the Anaheim Convention Center at 1721 S. Manchester Ave., will have meeting space, a contemporary bistro called Social Circle, and a California-themed outdoor space with a pool and movie screening wall. The 352-room hotel will open in November Anaheim GardenWalk Hotels Approved: Westgate Anaheim GardenWalk: Located next to the dining, entertainment and shopping destination Anaheim GardenWalk, a new 392-room timeshare hotel will be built. 3 Attraction NEWS The Popular Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is Back: Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival returns March 2 to April 12, with flavors and fare inspired by the Golden State. The culinary festival brings delicious cuisine, specialty beverages and exciting entertainment for guests of all ages to enjoy. With experiences happening daily during the six-week event, the festival will offer more than a dozen Festival Marketplaces, along with live music, entertainment and special activities. Guests will also experience presentations and demonstrations from celebrity chefs Robert Irvine, Alex Guarnaschelli and Shaun O Neale, food and beverage tastings, winemaker dinners, beer, wine and spirit seminars, and more. Disneyland.disney.go.com Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer Coming to Downtown Disney District in 2018: Known for its award-winning burgers and signature CrazyShake milkshakes, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer is creating a customized concept for its first California location at Downtown Disney which will feature indoor and outdoor seating. The burger and beer joint will be set in a casual atmosphere reminiscent of a classic American luncheonette, but with a distinctly New York vibe. Black Tap s menu will include burgers ranging from the classic All-American to The Vegan Burger. In addition, their specialty CrazyShakes will boast whimsical and over-the-top decorations and flavors, such as The Cotton Candy Shake and The Bam Bam Shake. Blacktapnyc.com Star Wars: Galaxy s Edge Brings Visitors to a Galaxy Far, Far Away: Guests will experience intergalactic adventures in the highly-anticipated Star Wars themed land now known as Star Wars: Galaxy s Edge. The 14-acre land will open with two anchor attractions one that gives guests the chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and another that puts guests right in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will also encounter various characters, including BB8, Chewbacca, Rex and Kylo Ren. Star Wars: Galaxy s Edge will open at Disneyland Park in Disneyland.disney.go.com Star Wars Virtual Reality Attraction to Open at Downtown Disney Downtown Disney Splitsville Lanes Opening January 29: Splitsville Lanes, boasting a unique combination of dining, bowling and live entertainment, will soon be opening its doors at Downtown Disney District. The spectacular 40,000-square-foot, two-story venue is providing a lively, yet comfortable atmosphere for guests of all ages to enjoy. The environment will fuse modern elements with a mid-century vibe, featuring floorto-ceiling windows, an expansive outdoor patio, two state-of-the-art kitchens and 20 bowling lanes interspersed throughout. 4 Anaheim Brewery NEWS Anaheim s Bavarian founding colonists gave Anaheim its German name and legacy of breweries dating back to the 1800s. However, Prohibition mandated all the breweries were mandated to close. Fast forward to today, with the full support of the city, Anaheim s craft brewery scene is booming once again. With 15 breweries open now and more on the way, Anaheim s brew scene is hopping. Visitors can explore the new 18,000-square-foot facility (5,000 indoor + 13,000 outdoor) that houses 40 rotating taps, indoor and outdoor bars, expansive beer garden and a full-service restaurant among other great features. The state-of-the-art onsite brewing facility houses Golden Road s spirit-inspired barrel program, an innovation brewery appropriately dubbed the brewer s playground by Brewmaster Victor Novak. Goldenroadla.com Bottle Logic Brewing Expands Tasting Room and Production Facility: Expansion to Bottle Logic is currently underway and will double the brewery s size, add an outdoor patio area, as well as private event space. Bottle Logic will also expand its collection of bourbon barrels to triple production capacity of barrelaged brews. The expansion is set to be completed by early 2018 with formal tours available. BottleLogic.com Noble Ale Works Expansion Triples Footprint: Located within walking distance of Angel Stadium and Honda Center, this pregame brewery of choice is expanding its current space, adding 10,000 square feet to the beer production facility, including a new 30-barrel brewhouse and expanded tasting room. Noble Ale Works was named best small brewery in the world in 2016 and won three medals, including gold for its I Love It! IPA. Anaheim Packing House Welcomes New Concepts: Built in 1919 as Sunkist s citrus packing plant, the Anaheim Packing House is now a two-story contemporary food hall. Below is the latest in tenant news. The concept will be farm-to-fork. Spirit Distillery Streams into MAKE Building: Located across the street from Anaheim Packing District, MAKE Building is a 10,500-square-foot structure that was once an early 1900s marmalade factory and is now home to makers: Unsung Brewing Co. and Pali Wine Co. Stone Groove Stillhouse is soon to come and Jav s BBQ is now open. AnaheimMake.com Modern Times Leisuretown Coming to Anaheim: Opening down the street from the Anaheim Packing District, Leisuretown will be more than just a brewery, it will be a destination. Modern Times Beer brewery will be located inside a warehouse and next door in a historic craftsman house will be a vegan Mexican restaurant, outdoor garden, a swimming pool complete with a poolside bar, movie screen and great coffee. House of Chimney Cakes: Newly opened, House of Chimney Cakes has gone viral, bringing traditional Hungarian desserts to Anaheim. Cylinder shaped churro-like cones are topped with guests choice of toppings and ice cream. Hummos & Pita: Anaheim s newest Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant is now open. Requiem: Coffee, Tea and Fantasy: Requiem will be a video game coffee shop celebrating all things nerd culture. There will be four themed seating and gaming areas inspired by locations found in video games: science fiction, medieval, a magical forest and steampunk. An open date has not been announced. Promenade Pub: A new concept from the same owners as Colony Wine Merchant, Promenade Pub will be a fast-casual beer focused concept with twenty taps from local breweries, a pet-friendly outdoor patio and pub grub. The anticipated open date has not been announced. HomeMADE Concept Revealed: The latest Anaheim project from Shaheen Sadeghi, the mastermind behind the Anaheim Packing House, MAKE Building, Leisuretown and much more will be HomeMADE. Located across the street from the Anaheim Packing House, HomeMADE will be a funky residential project that promotes culinary artists. The apartments all have commercial kitchens, so local chefs can open their homes for a food walk where people can come in and eat. Construction has not begun. Good Things

6 Other NEWS Anaheim and Garden Grove Development News Orange County s First Shipping Container Food Hall Coming to Garden Grove: SteelCraft Garden Grove will include 20 artisanal retailers and restaurants, including coffee, wine, beer and dessert offerings, all located in repurposed cargo containers that are 40 feet each. The center will be located on a 1.8-acre lot behind City Hall and is estimated to be completed mid-to-late Major Hotel and Mixed-Use Development Coming to Garden Grove: SCG America has begun planning a mixed-use development project located on Harbor Blvd. within the Anaheim Resort district. The development allows a combination of up to three hotels, 39,000 square feet of meeting space, 20,000 square feet of restaurant space and structured parking. Groundbreaking is planned to take place in SCGamerica.com Mixed-Use Project Comes to Anaheim Next to Angel Stadium: The $450 million 15-acre LT Platinum Center adjacent to Angel Stadium will have an outdoor entertainment center, a 26-story hotel, dining, retail, office space, residential apartments, acres of urban park space.
