2 A MESSAGE FROM GENERAL MANAGER JACK MILLER Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Welcome friends, guests and neighbors! On behalf of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess team, we welcome you to the magic of Christmas at the Princess. We are so pleased that you have joined us to share in the joy and happiness of the season. In creating Christmas the Princess, it was our goal to create a town square for Scottsdale to celebrate the holidays with family, neighbors and friends. The holidays are a nostalgic time, so let s have a look back at the history of Christmas at the Princess Our four-story Christmas tree animated with lights and 10 songs opens in the Enchanted Plaza The Lagoon Lights display with over 1 million lights opens with Princess Express train rides The Desert Ice skating rink with VIP firepits and Kringles Korner retail store open, and our lights total over 1.5 million. Travel & Leisure names the resort one of the Top Ten Hotels for the Holidays The Desert Ice skating rink is expanded to 6,000 sq.ft., our Hi-Def Animated Musical Light Show and the Nativity Garden light show open, and our lights total over 2 million. The Vancouver Sun names Desert Ice as one of the Top Ten Holiday Ice Rinks in the World The Christmas Carousel and Campfire experience are added, and our lights total over 2.5 million. On the Today Show, Orbitz names the resort as one of the Top Five Resorts for the holidays Princess Noel, Peppermint Penguin and Selfie Elfie join the family, Smore s Land opens with an expanded Campfire area and petting zoo, and our lights total over 2.8 million. When we embarked on this journey to create Christmas at the Princess we knew it was a risk to make such a large investment. We are grateful to have welcomed over 237,000 visitors this last year. The many letters we received from families and individuals who have special memories of Christmas at the Princess and those who have made this experience an annual tradition have touched our heart. We appreciate your support. I hope you enjoy your evening and the new Christmas at the Princess experiences, and we invite you join us again next year. 4 SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES ENCHANTED PLAZA KRINGLE S KORNER PRINCESS EXPRESS DEPOT NATIVITY GARDEN FOUR-STORY MUSICAL TREE FROM 6 TO 9 PM NIGHTLY Our tree has 70,000 LED lights which twinkle and dance to 14 holiday songs, dozens of glistening snowflakes and a 5-foot snowflake tree topper. DESERT ICE SKATING RINK SEE SKATING SCHEDULE FOR SESSION DATES/TIMES Our 6,000 sq.ft. skating rink is made with real ice and is surrounded by a picturesque cactus garden. $15 per person $5 Skate rental per person PRINCESS EXPRESS TRAIN Hop on board the holiday Princess Express Train offering complimentary rides around the Lagoon Lights to spectators of all ages. Train pick-up is at the entrance to the Casitas and Lagoon Lawn. NATIVITY GARDEN LIGHT SHOW 10-MINUTE SHOWS RUN EVERY 10 MINUTES Our Fragrance Garden has transformed into the Nativity Garden featuring an 88-foot narrated light show set to music, telling the story of Christmas. As the president of the Magical Princess and Prince Association, she inducts young guests and teaches them to waive, curtsy and bow in the Enchanted Plaza nightly. He loves peppermint bark and mochas and has been known to hand out peppermint candy to guests. LAGOON LIGHTS Enjoy more than 2.8 million LED lights as you stroll or ride the Princess Express train through the resort s lagoons. Our lit fantasy land includes graceful swans, a bucaneer pirate ship, poinsettias, a teddy bear, toy soldiers, fishing Santa, candy canes, leaping arches, Loch Ness Monster, four singing trees, a 3-D whale, skating penguins, a 17 infinity tunnel and other whimsical displays. SELFIE ELFIE NOVEMBER 19 DECEMBER 24, 2015 FROM 5:30 TO 8:30 PM NIGHTLY Selfie is one of Santa s more ornery and mischevious elves. When he heard that Santa, Princess Noel and Peppermint Penguin were headed to Christmas at the Princess, he secretly jumped on the sleigh too. Selfie is very energetic and always looking for fun. S MORES LAND CHRISTMAS CAMPFIRES With seven campfires, families can roast s mores with packaged do-it-yourself kits available for purchase from our three Kringle s Kup locations, adjacent to the Desert Ice Skating Rink, Train Depot and Christmas Carousel CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL Our complimentary carousel features dozens of horses galloping and glittering round and round.
