The Peninsula Sky Rink On Saturday, November 19, 2016 the hotel will officially open The Peninsula Sky Rink for it s fifth season. For those with dietary restrictions, there is a vegan afternoon tea or a gluten-free afternoon tea option. Commencing Friday, November 25, 2016 the price of the holiday afternoon tea is US$ 75 per adult, including a glass of Prosecco and US$ 35 per child 12 years and under. With each purchase of afternoon tea, a donation of US$ 5 will be made to Make-A-Wish Illinois. In addition to the holiday afternoon tea, The Peninsula Chicago also offers Children s Holiday Teas priced at US$ 80 for 12 years and under. Christmas Eve Dinner For an early Christmas present, food lovers can dine at The Peninsula Chicago and enjoy live music in The Lobby while savoring a prix fixe, five-course dinner. Eggnog, hot chocolate and a vast array of sweets including crêpes, macarons and pastries will be presented for dessert; while a children s station with child-friendly delicacies will be available. The traditional yule log (US$ 42 serves 6-8 guests) is also available for those looking for festive dessert. An individual ham dinner is available for US$ 31 and an individual yule log at US$ 7. Pre-order to your to-go meal by 3:00pm on December 19 th. New Year s Eve Celebration Dance the night away and ring in 2016 at The Peninsula Chicago s Kaleidoscope themed party. Guests begin their evening with a welcome reception from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm. After a five-course dinner, attendees will celebrate and dance to the sounds of pop band Sweet Bea and The Boys performing in The Lobby. As midnight approaches, guests will celebrate the New Year with a balloon drop, midnight Champagne toast, dancing and revelry. Dinner and dancing is US$ 195 per person, or US$ 245 per person with wine pairings. Prices do not include tax and gratuity. Meanwhile, The Bar will be open and serving guests without a cover charge.
