25 { } RECREATION Beech Woods Recreation Center Beech Woods Recreation Center, the premier field house facility in metro Detroit, is nestled in the southwest corner of Southfield, on Beech Road just south of Nine Mile Road. Located inside the Beech Woods Park, Beech Woods Recreation Center features over 17,000 square t of gymnasium space. The Center has the capability to run three collegiate basketball games simultaneously in addition to four volleyball or tennis courts, indoor golf nets, and a complete wellness/fitness center. The Library is a state-ofthe-art facility that on average receives over 2,000 visitors daily.
