The great thing about Greece is that it has something to suit everyone. Whether you prefer to see the art and the historical monuments, experience the natural surroundings, sample the food or party all night long, your options are open and varied. You can combine cultural sightseeing and lazing around in the sun or water sports. An ancient temple or mythical site is never far away, the pace is relaxed, the food delicious and healthy. Hop from one to another of the ever-popular islands, which cling to their stereotypical architecture and way of life despite the tourism. Then, as the sun goes down, the atmosphere livens up. 4 Day 1 Saturday 26 May 2018 Alimos Marina > Poros (36nm / 2hrs 15mins) The picturesque town of Poros with its beautiful neoclassical buildings is built amphitheatrically on the slopes of a hill. Narrow streets and alleyways wind up from the harbour between houses with courtyards full of sweet smelling flowers. It s crowned by a lovely tall blue-topped clock tower on the ridge. From here the views are delightful, especially across to Galatas, famous for its lemon groves. Further up the mainland coast is Methana with its therapeutic hot springs and the Sleeping Lady mountain. Join the yacht in Alimos Marina and make yourself at home! Once you are comfortable, cruise down to Poros. Anchor in a sheltered bay to relax, swim and enjoy water sports and all of Pathos s facilities. The nightlife in Poros is good in the summer months with plenty of restaurants and bars for those who enjoy a lively atmosphere. 5 Day 2 Sunday 27 May 2018 Poros > Serifos (63nm / 4hrs 20mins) Not much developed in tourism, Serifos island has kept its traditional character and the virgin landscape. Chora is the most picturesque spot in Serifos Greece, constructed on the slopes of a mountain and with fabulous view to the Aegean Sea. Serifos is great for hiking or walking, you can amble your way to the top of the Hilltop Chora where there is a spectacular view of the coast. For a unique panoramic view of the island, hike to Cyclops Throne and feel like the King or Queen of the Augean Sea! Serifos boasts a huge selection of beaches to swim in the turquoise shallow bays. For some great local cuisine try Marathoriza or for some fresh fish head to Kalis. In port. 5

6 Day 3 Monday 28 May 2018 Mykonos > Rinia > Mykonos (42nm/ 2hrs 50mins > 7nm/ 35mins) Rinia also known as Greater Delos, is one of the small islands immediately southwest of Mykonos. It is a hilly and fairly dry island where you can find a couple of beautiful sandy beaches. The island has three anchorages: South Bay, Miso Bay and Skhino Bay. Mykonos is the little Venice and cosmopolitan centre of the Cyclades with an international reputation. Trends that will sweep the international scene are born in the intense nightlife of this modern resort! Set sail to Rinia, for a day of water sports and relaxation in tranquil turquoise waters. Head onto Mykonos and enjoy the party atmosphere at one of the beach clubs. Explore the narrow marble streets and admire the whitewashed houses with their colourful doors and windows, framed with bougainvillea. The most glamorous street of all is Matoyánni Street, lined with brand name stores, charming cafés and stylish restaurants. For lunch and the beach scene try Nammos or Panoramos. Then for dinner try Hakkasan Ling Ling, Remezzo, Sea Satin, KiKu, Buddha Bar, Solymar, Matsuhisa (Nobu) at the Belvedere, Phos, Hotel Santa Marina, Cavo Tagoo, Hotel Grace or La Meduse Nightlife: Scorpios or Cavo Paradiso. 7 Day 4 Tuesday 29 May 2018 Mykonos > Paros (23nm/ 1hr 40mins) Paros is a wonderful combination of gently rolling hills, sandy beaches in crystal-blue waters, whitewashed cubic houses with blue trim in labyrinths of narrow paved alleys bordered by bougainvillea. White marble made Paros prosperous, most famously, the Venus de Milo was carved from Parian marble, There are many churches, the most fascinating being Our Lady of the Hundred Gates. No one has been able to find more than 99, but it is said that when the 100th is discovered, Constantinople (Istanbul) will be returned to Greece. Cruise on to Paros. Head for Naousa (or Naoussa), on the north coast, where you ll find a stylish resort atmosphere despite the fact that it is still a active fishing harbour. Sip an Ouzo at an out-door terrace in the tiny mountain village of Lefkes for a taste of the traditional way of life or head for Naousa and its beautiful bay where you can enjoy a swim and some water sports. 8 Day 5 Wednesday 30 May 2018 Paros > Koufonisia (33nm/ 2hrs 20mins) Koufonisia is the Greek s best kept secret, and remains this way due to the inaccessibility for day trippers. It feels entirely untouched and electricity only arrived in 1980! Leave early to make your way to the beautiful Koufonisia. Spend the day enjoying the peace and quiet and swimming in crystal clear waters, hopefully all to yourselves! In Koufonisia try Gastronautis for lunch. Have dinner on board or at another Greek tavern. At anchor. 8

9 Day 6 Thursday 31 May 2018 Koufonisia > Polyaigos > Milos (53nm/ 3hrs 45mins > 17nm/ 1hr 15mins) Polyaigos, meaning many goats in Greek, is the largest uninhabited island of the Aegean. It boasts wild exotic landscapes and magnificent beaches, mainly on the southern part. The famous cove of Kleftiko (Bandits' Lair), only accessible by boat, was an old pirates' hideout. A volcanic island, Milos arches around a central caldera and is known as the island of colours because of its spectacular rock formations and dramatic coastal landscapes. An early morning departure today towards the exotic paradise of Polyaigos. As you explore the islet you ll find wonderful beaches, the lighthouse on Cape Maskoula, caves and dramatic rock formations. It is a day for relaxing on the beach and enjoying water sports and the yacht s facilities. Make way towards Milos. You might like to try some fishing whilst cruising to Kleftiko or simply dive into the sparkling blue waters on the southwest tip of the island. The rocks look majestic like a castle tower coming out from the sea! Enjoy lunch and dinner on board. Or try Armenaki, for its seafood cuisine and its sea view on Pollonia beach In port. 9

10 Day 7 Friday 1 June 2018 Milos > Hydra (75nm/ 5hrs 15mins) Hydra is a preserved national monument and has retained all its 17 th & 18 th century charm. No cars are allowed on the island! First discovered in the 50s by a group of artists (such as Leonard Cohen), it now holds a cosmopolitan and fashionable character. Arrive in Hydra s horse-shoe shaped harbour and explore the island on foot or, by the island s traditional transportation, the saddled donkey! It is a pleasant village, dotted with galleries, folklore art and jewellery shops, narrow, picturesque streets, white washed houses, all surrounded by crystal waters and multiple cliff-face views. There are also 6 monasteries and 300 churches to visit if you have time! Suggestions in Hydra: Sunset, Omilos or Castello. In port. 10

11 Day 8 Saturday 2 June 2018 Hydra > Marina Alimos (36nm/ 2hrs 30mins) Enjoy a leisurely cruise and your last few hours on board before heading into Marina Alimos. Leave Hydra early morning and back over to Marina Alimos where you will disembark the yacht. Enjoy a farewell brunch before disembarking. NB This itinerary is a suggestion only with distances and timings dependent on weather conditions. 14 Day 2 Sunday 27 May 2018 Milos > Monemvasia (53nm / 3hrs 45mins ) Monemvasia, founded by the Byzantines in the sixth century, is a breath-taking medieval tower town. It s Greece s answer to the Rock of Gibraltar, set on a giant stone mountain which rises from the sea is a massive walled fortress which stunning views. Early morning cruise to Monemvasia, where you can stretch your legs and explore this mystical stone-built settlement and immerse yourself in a unique medieval atmosphere. If it is of interest, Sparta and the Byzantine ruins of Mistras are about a 1h30 drive away. Enjoy lunch at the gourmet Kinsterna restaurant or at Chrisovoulo and dinner on board. At anchor. 14

15 Day 3 Monday 28 May 2018 Monemvasia > Kythira (44nm / 3hrs) Kythira lies on its own at the bottom of the Peloponnese peninsula. It is for much of the year really a ghost land, an unspoilt wilderness of lush valleys, canyons and cliffs falling abruptly into the vivid blue sea. The island consists of many small villages and settlements, which are mainly in the interior of the island. Head south to Kythira. Explore Kastro, Hora s castle, from which you can enjoy beautiful views. If you enjoy hiking, other sights include Water Mills, Palaiochora Castle, and many more. The island is home to numerous beaches of varying type and size, though due to the island's rugged and mountainous terrain, only about half of them are accessible by road. 16 Day 4 Tuesday 29 May 2018 Monemvasia > Simos > Elafonisos (33nm / 2hrs 20mins) Elafonisos is the largest inhabited island of the Peloponnese, famous for Simos beach (practically a trademark) with its natural sand dunes which reach a staggering height of 10 metres and its sea lilies, all blending to create a magnificent riot of colour. Early morning cruise to Elafonisos. Moor in Simos bay at the south of Elafonisos and enjoy the rest of the day in this magical setting. Use the snorkel and mask to swim down and see the sea lillies! 17 Day 5 Wednesday 30 May 2018 Elafonisos > Kiparissi (50nm / 3hrs 40mins) Kiparissi is a quiet overnight stop if you want to get away from the crowds. It is known as an old pirate town, with crystal clear waters and a stunning beach. At some point in its history the people of this lush valley of olive trees, pine and carob left the coast and moved to a highpoint where the village was hidden from the sea and the pirates who raided the coast. There are many secluded bays and beaches where you can anchor off and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before heading to the port for a bit of dinner. The main port has some lovely Greek restaurants and a few local shops to browse around. Try Chrisovoulo Restaurant and Wine Bar, Myrtoon for fresh seafood or Taverna Tiris for some more local Greek cuisine. At anchor. 17

18 Day 6 Thursday 31 May 2018 Milos > Spetses (65nm + 18nm) Spetses, one of the Saronic Gulf islands, boasts a long naval tradition and national recognition for its vital role during the Greek revolution against the Ottoman Empire. Colourful horse-drawn carriages, the official local taxis, carry both locals and visitors through the old town's narrow streets. Set sail for Spetses, stopping on the way for fishing, swimming, or water sports. In the evening, enjoy a trip around the island in a horse-drawn carriage and admire the grand mansions adorning the narrow cobbled streets.
