Our tours combine three things, which are important for modern travellers: affordable prices, first class service and plenty of individual choices. Deluxe programs offer more luxury and exclusivity. Light programs offer comfort at very affordable rates. balticvision distributes its products through an extensive network of reliable and trustworthy tour operators. A First Class Product GUARANTEED ESCORTED TOURS All our tours are guaranteed. They are offered in five different languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese). Depending on sales most tours are bilingual and guests are normally from a number of different countries. Other guests with the same languages may join in or may leave during a tour. Our tours represent a unique possibility to meet people across borders and win new friends. SERVICE STANDARDS Hotels: We are using good centrally located superior three star, four star or five star hotels. We reserve the right to change the featured hotels. Alternative hotels will be of the same standard as the featured hotels both in terms of standard and location. If any changes from featured hotels, final hotel names will be advised latest one month prior to arrival. 2

3 Breakfasts: Breakfasts are buffet style at all hotels. Coaches and vans: Our coaches are new 49-seater first class coaches with air conditioning, adjustable seats, toilet, fridge and possible other conveniences. Depending on sales, some tours or segments of tours and optional tours are operated with new first class vans with adjustable seats and air conditioning. For comfort and security we always keep at least three empty seats in coaches and vans. Passengers are covered by third person liability insurance. Drivers are driving strictly according to EU regulations. Seating in the vehicles is free. Tour escorts: Our tour escorts are university graduates and have been specially trained as guides and as bilingual tour escorts. The tour escorts are very experienced and most have been working for us for many years. The tour escorts are assisted by local guides if needed or required. Portage: Portage of one piece of luggage is included at all four and five star hotels and at railway stations when indicated. Visa support: Visa is required for almost all nationalities for tours including Russia and China, and only for some fewer nationalities for tours covering EU destinations and Mongolia. Unless otherwise indicated, we supply visa support complementary. Number of participants: We allow max 45 guests on the same tour. SPECIAL FEATURES Arrival and departure transfers: Guests can pre-order private arrival and departure transfers. By arrival transfer the guests are met by a driver with a name board reading their surnames in the arrival hall of the airport. Guests should co-ordinate their departure transfer with the tour escort. Welcome letter: On arrival to the hotel the guests receive a personalized welcome letter announcing time and place for the welcome meeting or the first meeting with the tour escort. Welcome meeting: During the welcome meeting the guests are served a welcome drink. The tour escort introduces the program and the optional tours and the guests receive various materials such as a personalized program and information materials. On the few tours, where indicated, there is no welcome meeting and the tour escort will brief the guests and hand out materials at the start of the tour. MORE VALUE Optional excursions and dinners: Most of our tours come with an extensive choice of optional excursions and dinners. The optional services can be booked in advance or during the tour. The optional excursions feature important highlights not included into the standard sightseeing tours and always include transport, guide service and entrances. The optional dinners are half-board at hotel or special highlight dinners at local restaurants. Dinners at hotels are substantial 3-course set menu or buffet style and include ice-water and coffee/ tea. Highlight dinner at local restaurants include a substantial 3-course menu with ice-water and coffee/tea. In some cases alcoholic drinks or live entertainment is included. The highlight dinners at local restaurant include guide and transport, in few cases the restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel (max 10 min walk) and transport is not included. At both hotels and local restaurants additional drinks can be ordered and paid for at the spot. PRE- AND POST STAYS We offer attractive hotel rates for guests who would like to arrive earlier or departure later. Please ask for a detailed pricelist. QUALITY, SAFETY AND SECURITY Quality control: We ask all guests to fill out a service questionnaire. The questionnaires are handed over to the guests during the welcome meeting and collected at the end of the tour. Moreover, we are happy to receive feed back in any other form, aiming to help us to maintain and raise the standards of our product. Safety and security: Safety and security is a priority in all our operations. We only use suppliers that guarantee the same. We carefully check the insurance and operating licenses of all our suppliers. PRICE POLICY All prices in this catalogue include service and VAT. All prices are gross rates and are commissionable to reliable and trustworthy tour operators. Diplomas for active touring: The participants in the Baltic Biking and Baltic Hiking tours receive a diploma for successfully completing active touring in the Baltic countries at the end of the tour. 3

DAY 2 (SATURDAY): RIGA Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a true kaleidoscope of various architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter s Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guild House and the Freedom Monument. The afternoon is reserved for an optional visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. In the evening enjoy an optional Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant La Boheme. DAY 3 (SUNDAY): RIGA - DIKLI From Riga we head north-eastwards to discover medieval Latvia. The tour takes us to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. We listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. We continue to Cesis, a Hanseatic town with winding streets, castle ruins and beautiful gardens, and in late afternoon we check-in at Hotel Dikli Palace****, a Neo-Baroque estate from the 19th century. DAY 4 (MONDAY): DIKLI An optional morning excursion takes us to nearby Valmiera, another Hanseatic town founded in the 14th century, when the Livonian Order build a castle here. We make a short tour of the town and a visit the Valmiermuizas Brewery, the origins of which go back to the days of Swedes rule, when a castle inn was built not far from the Livonian castle. The excursion continues with a visit to local farm to taste the delicious organic cheese. This evening offers an optional BBQ dinner at Dikli Manor. DAY 5 (TUESDAY): DIKLI VIHULA From Dikli Manor we continue to Estonia, to the university town of Tartu, where we admire the charming Old Town and visit the University founded in From there the tour goes through the rolling hills of northern Estonia and the medieval town of Rakvere before we reach Vihula in early afternoon and check-in at Hotel Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa**** - a charming 16th century estate located in the heart of the Lahemaa National Park. DAY 6 (WEDNESDAY): VIHULA During an optional half-day excursion of Lahemaa National Park we visit the ethnographical village of Altja, and Palmse Manor, the most impressive manor in Estonia and a memorial to the von Prahlen family. On the way back to Vihula we also see the Sagadi Manor, a restored 17th century manor with a beautiful manor house and delightful parks. 5 DAY 7 (THURSDAY): VIHULA TALLINN HAIKKO In the morning we leave Vihula Manor for Tallinn. The Estonian capital is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall. In the afternoon we embark on the ferry to Helsinki, from where the tour continues eastbound to Porvoo and we check-in in at Hotel Haikko Manor****, built in the beginning of the 20th century. DAY 8 (FRIDAY): HAIKKO The morning offers an optional excursion to Porvoo, Finland s second oldest town, a beautiful city full of history. We stroll through the old town with its famous wooden church and red shore houses, painted red in the late 18th century in honor of King Gustav III of Sweden, who visited the city. DAY 4 (FRIDAY): WARSAW Warsaw is essentially a post-war city with a meticulously reconstructed Old Town. The afternoon excursion of the Masurian Lakeland takes us to the quaint town of Ketrzyn, to the beautiful Baroque church in Swieta Lipka and to the town of Gizycko, surrounded to all sides by the lakes. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall. In the afternoon we do a walking tour through the Kadriorg Park and the area surrounding the Kadriorg Palace. The evening offers an optional medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack. DAY 2: VILNIUS-TRAKAI-KAUNAS Vilnius is known for its more than medieval buildings and 48 churches. In the afternoon we continue to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. We enjoy a 15 km biking tour in the surroundings of Trakai. We continue to Kaunas and take a short stroll in the Old Town with its elegant Old Town Hall and Gothic cathedral. DAY 3: KAUNAS-NIDA-KLAIPEDA We get up early to continue the tour in the direction of the Curonian Spit, a 100 km spit of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon with small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes. A ferry from Klaipeda takes us to the Spit and we do down the spit to Nida. With it location at the Curonian Lagoon and its combination of old-fashioned fishing village and fashionable sea resort, Nida is one of the most attractive places on the entire Baltic Sea Coast. We visit the High Dunes, Thomas Mann s summerhouse and get acquainted with the charming resort town. In the late afternoon we enjoy a 30 km biking tour from Nida to Juodkrante before we go back to Klaipeda and check-in at Hotel Europa City Aurora*** or similar. DAY 4: KLAIPEDA-PALANGA-LIEPAJA Klaipeda first became a part of Lithuania in 1923 and has a long history as a German town called Memel. The sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with its narrow cobblestone streets and old guild houses and we visit the Theatre Square and the Aennchen von Tharau Fountain. We now enjoy a 30 km biking tour to Palanga, where we make a sightseeing tour and visit the Botanical Gardens and see Tiskevicius Palace before we continue into Latvia and arrive in Liepaja. DAY 5: LIEPAJA-JURMALA-RIGA Liepaja takes its name from the numerous lime trees in the city and we start the day with a short stroll in the Old Town with its Trinity Church. Afterwards we drive through the former Duchy of Courland to Kemeri, where we enjoy a 25 km biking tour through the Kemeri National Park, The balance of the day is spent for visiting Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. DAY 6: RIGA-SIGULDA-CESIS Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a true kaleidoscope of various architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter s Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guild House and the Freedom Monument. In the afternoon we continue to Saulkrasti and do a 30 km biking tour to Sigulda, a popular holiday resort. We see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and the ruins of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. We continue to Cesis and check-in at Hotel Kolonna Cesis*** or similar. DAY 7: CESIS-TARTU Cesis is a Hanseatic city with winding streets, castle ruins and beautiful gardens. During the morning tour we see the ruins of the Castle of the Livonian Order and St. John s Church. We head to Estonia and the Hanja Nature Park where we do a 30 km biking tour through the national park and around the Munamagi Hill, the biggest hill in the Baltic countries at just 300 m.
