We reserve the right to change the featured hotels. Alternative hotels will be of the same standard as the featured hotels both in terms of standard and location. SPECIAL FEATURES Arrival and departure transfers: Guests can pre-order private arrival and departure transfers. By arrival transfer the guests are met by a driver with a name board reading their surnames in the arrival hall of the airport. Guests should co-ordinate their departure transfer with the tour escort. DAY 2 (SUNDAY): PRAGUE Prague has been a cultural centre of central Europe for the over 1,100 years of its existence and 20 years after the velvet revolution it is more than ever one of the most beautiful and exciting cities of the world. The morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with the Old Town Square surrounded by historical buildings such as the Old Town Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock, the imposing St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady, the Jewish Quarter and the Wenceslas Square. After a lunch break we continue via the mining town of Ostrava into the picturesque mountainous South of Poland. We reach Krakow in the late afternoon and check-in at Hotel Park Inn Krakow****. DAY 5 (WEDNESDAY): KRAKOW For half a millennium Krakow was the royal capital of Poland and for centuries the city walls have guarded its traditions and secrets. Upon arrival in Oslo we start the morning sightseeing tour. We enjoy a walk around the Frogner Park decorated with the unique sculptures of Gustav Vigeland. We pass by the City Hall and the main street, Karl Johan, leading to the Royal Palace. In the early afternoon we continue our journey to the beautiful Hallingdal Valley. DAY 4 (SUNDAY): GEILO-BERGEN Today we really enter the breathtaking Norwegian nature. We continue through the Hallingdal Valley, known for its folkloric traditions. We cross the Hardanger mountain plateau and on the descent towards the fjord we pass the famous Voringsfossen Waterfall. We cross the Hardanger Fjord by ferry and continue along its shores to Bergen. Situated on a peninsula surrounded by 7 mountains the history of Bergen is closely connected with the sea and this is very noticeable in the city, especially at the city s picturesque waterfront. DAY 4 (WEDNESDAY): SAAREMAA Saaremaa is the biggest Island in Estonia and during the optional 6-hour tour we explore all its secrets. We start with a tour of Kuressaare, the largest town on the island, where many conquerors have left a worthy heritage of Baroque, Gothic and Classicist architecture. We stroll though the town and visit the Episcopal Castle, the best preserved medieval fortress in Estonia. DAY 5 (THURSDAY): SAAREMAA-LAHEMAA The ferry brings us back to the mainland and we head south for Parnu, the prime summer resort in Estonia. After lunch break we head north through a magnificent scenery to Rakvere, a peaceful provincial town still benefiting from its Hanseatic legacy. After that we continue to Nida and embark on a walking tour around the High Dunes (3 hours medium) and get acquainted with the charming resort town before we drive back to Klaipeda. DAY 6 (WEDNESDAY): KLAIPEDA-RIGA Klaipeda first became a part of Lithuania in 1923 and had a long history as a German town called Memel. A short sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with its narrow, cobblestone streets and old guild houses and we visit the Theatre Square and the Aennchen von Tharau Fountain. We now continue to the Samogitia National Park, where we enjoy a walking tour around the picturesque Lake Plateliai (2 hours, medium). After that we continue to Siauliai and Cross Hills, one of the holiest sites of Catholic Lithuania. We head North into Latvia and reach Riga in the afternoon. DAY 7 (THURSDAY): RIGA Riga founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert is the largest of the 3 Baltic capitals and boasts a true kaleidoscope of various architectural styles. The afternoon is reserved for visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. We do a walking tour on the sandy beaches from Pumpuri to Bulduri (3 hours, light).in the evening we enjoy an optional Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant La Boheme. DAY 8 (FRIDAY): RIGA-TALLINN The tour continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu.
