3 OVERVIEW: Sea Lion is a true expedition, any-ocean-capable, trawler yacht elegantly equipped for family cruising and high-endurance coastal exploration anywhere in the world. She is a single-screw, full keel, 10-foot draft, 120-ton ship. Her 8-foot tall rudder coupled with her bow and stern thrusters make her very responsive and easily manageable in close quarters. Previously named Thunder, she was purchased by her present owner in late 2010 and rechristened Sea Lion. She then underwent an extensive, $2.5 million re-fit in Three highhour generators were replaced with two new 30KW Northern Lights generators. Two new FCI 1,800 GPD water makers replaced two old 600 GPD units. The old 1,600 amp-hour house battery bank was replaced with a new 2,400 amp-hour bank and two 4,000-watt Magnum inverter/chargers were added. Buck power boosters with fore and aft Glendenning cable masters were added to facilitate shore power connections and assure power stability. Two Technicold chillers were added to air condition the boat in warmer climates and a Kabola diesel furnace was added to heat the boat (including the domestic water supply) in colder climates. The engine room has 6 8 headroom and full walk-around access to the main engine as well as all other engine room systems; and a new stainless steel counter and sink was added. The stuffing box was replaced with a dripless shaft. A new bilge pump manifold was added with suction provided by either a 2.5 horsepower electric pump or the main engine. The main electrical panel was simplified and re-built and a Maretron information and alarm system was hooked up to a new NMEA backbone. Her main deck (salon, dining area, galley and master suite) was gutted right down to the fiberglass and a new, beautiful, richly appointed interior was installed. The pilot house, too, was extensively modernized and re-furnished. The lower deck (crew quarters and two ensuite staterooms) were updated and a new laundry was installed and a second 40-gallon water heater was added. Sea Lion shows like a two-year-old boat and is quite appealing with her gorgeous interior furnishings by Sylvia Bolton Design. From her flying bridge to the aft deck to the staterooms below, her décor and furnishings have been almost completely redone to create a contemporary, luxurious, welcoming ambiance. Her classic fishing trawler lines and her incredible construction she s six inches thick at the turn of the bilge confirm her Delta Marine heritage. With accommodations for nine, she has been the perfect family boat for the present owner for seasonal cruising up to Alaska as well as a two-year tour of the US eastern seaboard. Page3 Sea Lion is home-ported in fresh water (which minimizes bottom growth) at Salmon Bay Marine Center in Seattle home when she is not out cruising. Pacific Yacht Management, the firm that

4 did the re-fit and manages her for her present owner is on board several times every week to make sure she is ready for sea on short notice. Few of the yachts offered for sale today as trawlers are real trawlers. Sea Lion is an exception with her high bow and deep-draft displacement hull. She thrives in rough weather and keeps a steady pace underway in all seasons. If you look carefully and study this category of the cruising market you will appreciate that the Delta 70 design created the large cruising trawler market; and you will also learn that Sea Lion compares quite favorably with larger Nordhavn and Northern Marine passage makers that followed her lead. Sea Lion s blue hull is striking. Once you get aboard and walk her decks you will see the brilliance of taking a limit seiner hull design and adapting it to a recreational pleasure trawler superbly outfitted for comfort and ease of operation with elegant décor and new machinery, systems and appliances. The spacious teak-decked cockpit is enclosed with de-mountable isinglass side panels and has comfortable dining table seating for eight. It is almost as pleasant on a rainy day as when the sun shines. There are generous side decks on each side of the saloon. When you enter the saloon, you see how tastefully she has been upgraded by Sylvia Bolton Designs. The saloon transitions into a dining area that seats eight and on to a spacious galley, all on the main deck. You can then go down to the guest and crew cabins or forward to the master stateroom. The full beam master stateroom with queen-sized bed on center is forward of the galley area and includes an ensuite head and shower. The interior spaces are all beautifully finished with 6 4 standing head room. Below there are cabins for crew and captain forward and to starboard with a laundry room to port. There are two guest staterooms aft twin beds to port and a double bed to starboard. All the way aft you enter the engine room which is finished in gleaming white and has 6 8 headroom with wide walk-around access to all systems and equipment surrounding the main engine. Back up the steps from the galley/saloon level you go up a curved flight of stair to reach the pilothouse which includes two Stidd helm chairs, a luxurious settee and dining table for six and even a watch berth. You can go outside and forward to the protection of the Portuguese bridge and easily access the foredeck. Page4 Going aft to port you arrive at the boat deck with two tenders, three sea kayaks, a docking station to port and a Marquipt crane aft. Going up a flight of stairs leads to the flybridge with two more Stidd helm chairs and outboard docking stations, with seating behind and a built-in table for cocktails. There are numerous spaces inside and on deck for socializing or for individual quiet time.

5 She can maintain a comfortable room temperature regardless of the weather. She enjoys a very effective Technicold air conditioning system; and she also has a Kabola diesel furnace to keep everyone comfortable whether in the tropics or in higher latitudes. Sea Lion is configured for ease of operation, a breeze underway on passage and very maneuverable in port allowing her to be easily docked using her barn door rudder and if necessary with assistance from the bow and stern thrusters. The current owners have enjoyed Sea Lion in the Pacific Northwest from Seattle to Alaska and along the US east coast from Florida to Maine. BROKER COMMENTS: Sea Lion has been through two major restorations, first in 2005 with the previous owner to prepare her for sale and then in 2010/2011 when the current owners completed an extensive $2.5 million-dollar refit upgrading machinery and refreshing the interior living spaces. You can t build a boat like a Delta 70 anymore, it is too expensive that is the reason why there are only five Delta 70 s. Of the five, most have been carefully renovated to allow this classic hull design to appreciate the conveniences of more modern electronics and more contemporary interior furnishings. Back in 1988 these boats were years ahead of trend that has become the burgeoning pleasure trawler market. Sea Lion is set up for shorthanded operations when docking. Her electrical system offers several options making her self-sufficient for overnight anchoring out. The Delta 70 is an innovative design that sparked the large yacht recreational passage maker revolution (the very first issue of PassageMaker magazine had a Delta on the cover).
