3 Welcome. As master of Queen Victoria and Commodore of the fleet, I m deeply proud of every crew member who sails on our magnificent three Queens. All of us are committed to making sure that, through our unparalleled White Star Service, no matter whether you are enjoying your very first Cunard cruise or are a valued regular Cunarder, you will enjoy exceptional service and attention to detail throughout your voyage. During all the years I ve been on the bridge and walked the decks of the Cunard fleet I thought I had experienced the absolute pinnacle of sea faring luxury, but that was before I saw the remastered Queen Mary 2. The changes made to her take what is an already superb vessel to a whole new level of luxury and I m pleased to see she has kept echoes of classic ocean liner style, and our long maritime tradition. And with Queen Victoria s refit in 2017, there are more exciting developments still to come. All three ships, I m sure, will draw admiring glances wherever they travel around the globe, from metropolises like New York and Sydney to more adventurous journeys such as our calls to Costa Maya and Osaka. But rather than me telling you about the wide variety of exceptional destinations offered within these pages I will leave you to discover them for yourself, and I look forward to seeing you on board soon. Commodore Christopher Rynd 3

11 Days and nights on board You never looked lovelier. Evenings on board offer so many pleasures. Deciding where to dine, choosing whether to dance, mingle or take in a show. And then there s the fun of dressing for the occasion. Formal nights usually involve a themed Ball and account for about a third of your days on board. Many of our guests sail with Cunard precisely because they love a reason to step out in style. For the other, informal evenings the dress code is smart yet relaxed think jackets but no ties and cocktail dresses. Guests who prefer to dress more casually are always very welcome to dine in the Lido restaurants or Kings Court and to unwind for the evening in the Carinthia Lounge, Winter Garden or Garden Lounge. Our full-sized Royal Court Theatres are the setting for West End-calibre shows. Some nights feature singers or comedians - other times you might catch an abridged classical drama or a high-stepping musical. On board Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria you can even be served Champagne in your own private box the very first of their kind at sea. For those who are feeling lucky, the casino awaits. Or you can kick up your own heels on the beautiful sprung dance floor in the Queens Room ballroom - where our themed Balls are held or in one of our nightclubs. As you wander the ship, live music is around every corner, from jazz ensembles to solo harpists to classical recitals. While the quizzes and karaoke nights in the Golden Lion pub always draw a lively, informal crowd. The night, as they say, is yours. 11

24 Queen Victoria. Queen Victoria is similar in size and layout to her sister ship, Queen Elizabeth, but has her own distinct personality and feel. Her classical décor has an Edwardian elegance warm-toned and plush executed with Cunard s hallmark flair. She s also the holder of several firsts. The first Cunard ship to have a female Captain Inger Klein Thorhauge and the first in the world to offer private boxes at sea in the Royal Court Theatre. Fans of Queen Victoria and they are legion often remark on her unusual cosiness. Because, while she s every inch a grand ship in terms of size and décor, she has a particularly warm and intimate feeling throughout. In 2017, Queen Victoria will benefit from brand new Britannia Club Balcony staterooms and a single seating Britannia Club restaurant. across the Atlantic to North America, down to the Caribbean and onto four different Brazilian ports, including an overnight in Rio de Janeiro, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the golden beaches, stunning mountains and Tijuca National Park. Continue South to Uruguay and Argentina and explore five ports along the steep inlets of the Chilean coast. Touch shore in Peru and Ecuador before cruising through the Panama Canal, back to the Atlantic Ocean. Queen Victoria rounds off this cruise with calls in Jamaica, Mexico and North America before crossing the Atlantic once more. South American adventure in From 7 January to 23 March 2018 Queen Victoria will embark on a South American Voyage. Begin your adventure in Hamburg or Southampton and touch shore in 15 different countries. Cruise Bora Bora, French Polynesia 24

25 Queen Victoria Queen Victoria, Flaam, Norway Mediterranean. She will visit an array of beautiful and glamorous ports of call in 2017 including Monte Carlo, Dubrovnik and Santorini and will make three maiden calls in Italy, Croatia and Crete. Brindisi, along the Italian Adriatic coast offers beautiful sandy beaches, palm-lined streets and swathes of historical architecture including castles and ancient Roman columns. Cruise into Sibenik in Croatia, a naturally protected harbour, and step ashore to experience bustling narrow streets, open squares and Renaissance architecture. The Cathedral Sveti Jakov a registered UNESCO World Heritage site is certainly worth a visit. The romantic city of Chania, on the north-east coast of Crete, is brimming with the history of the various civilisations that have flourished here in decades past. The charming Venetian harbour is home to an old lighthouse and fort as well as an ancient Turkish Mosque now housing traditional market stalls. In 2018 we ve added even more places to explore, and eight ports are entirely new. Giardini Naxos on the northeastern coast of Sicily makes it easy to reach the stunning clifftop town of Taormina, with its Greco-Roman amphitheatre close to Mount Etna. Mahon is the capital of Menorca, and its delightfully low-key capital is a jumble of shaded squares and an elegant promenade overlooking a yacht-filled harbour. Portoroz in Slovenia, a modern resort that occupies the same peninsula as Piran, a beautiful medieval harbour of narrow alleys and terracotta rooftops jutting out into the clear waters. Another gem now on our chart is Rijeka, Croatia s third largest city. Its sightseeing treasures include a fourth-century Roman arch, the splendid rotunda of St Vitus Cathedral and Trsat, the medieval fortified town that occupies the highest ground. Northern Europe. Queen Victoria sets off on a new short break to France and Iberia in 2018, featuring La Rochelle and Gijon both new for that year and Bilbao, home to the stunning Guggenheim museum. Closer to home, she will explore the United Kingdom and Ireland. This itinerary offers unique views of these beautiful isles, with a particular focus on Scotland and Ireland which includes a first-ever call at Killybegs for tours to Donegal and Portree on the Isle of Skye as well as visits to Liverpool and the Channel Islands. Queen Elizabeth makes a similar circuit in July, also pausing in the Netherlands for a chance to visit Amsterdam. 25

34 Queen Elizabeth, Venice Queen Elizabeth. Christened by her namesake Her Majesty the Queen in 2010, and the newest of our fleet, Queen Elizabeth s design pays tribute to the Art Deco tradition. The heyday of Hollywood glamour is instantly evoked by her elegant wood panelling, gleaming chandeliers, marble flooring and beautiful decorative touches. Nowhere more so than in the triple-height Grand Lobby, its sweeping staircase dominated by a stunning marquetry-panelled portrait of the original RMS Queen Elizabeth, in a design created by The Queen s nephew, Viscount Linley. For relaxation the ship s architects created the Garden Lounge a large conservatory, based on the famous hothouses of Kew Gardens and a unique Games Deck, where you can enjoy the gentle pastimes of croquet, bowls and paddle tennis. 34

35 Where you can visit aboard Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth offers a range of cruises from Southampton, Hamburg, Kiel and Amsterdam from which you can explore the historic ports of Northern Europe, the many jewels of the Mediterranean and the contrasting landscapes of the Canary Islands. Northern Europe. The rugged beauty of Northern Europe offers an array of cultural riches and spectacular landscapes to discover. Around the Baltic Sea, several capitals await; Stockholm, Copenhagen and Tallinn to name three. Russia s cultural capital, St Petersburg is a vision of tsarist palaces and cathedral domes, and the world-famous Hermitage Museum is sure to enthral. Meanwhile, Tallinn with its fairy tale Old Town is the perfect place to lose yourself for the day. Further north, Norway s glassy fjords, electric blue glaciers and pounding waterfalls leave a lasting impression. Traditional clapboard buildings in Bergen and Stavanger complete the perfect fjords image, whilst Norway s Viking heritage adds extra interest. Reykjavik in Iceland offers many delights we visit during the summer when daylight is in abundance and the streets come to life with locals. There are five new discoveries in 2018, including Riga, the Latvian capital is filled with art nouveau architecture and picturesque wooden buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. We also visit the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda and the Swedish city of Visby, with Viking roots and later part of the Hanseatic League, it s the best preserved fortified medieval commercial city in northern Europe. Inside the Arctic Circle stand two more cities, Bodø and Narvik, the beauty of their surroundings lit by the Midnight Sun. Mediterranean. The Mediterranean is a perfect holiday destination in so many ways, and sailing roundtrip from Southampton is the most relaxing way to reach the Mediterranean allowing you two or three sea days at the beginning and end of your trip to relax and enjoy all that Queen Elizabeth has to offer. Visit a range of ports in countries such as Croatia, France, Italy, Greece and Spain. Queen Elizabeth makes two maiden visits, to beautiful medieval Sibenik on Croatia s Adriatic shores, while from Sorrento you can explore the dreamy Amalfi coast where picturesque towns cling to the cliffs. Across in the Adriatic, the island of Hvar introduces you to Croatia s crystal clear waters, the orange roofs of its main town and a rich green interior. Iberia, Atlantic Coast and Canary Islands. Scattered close to Africa s north western shoulder, the Spanish and Portuguese Atlantic Isles delight with their mild climate and astonishing scenery. From the garden isle of Madeira to the National Parks and moon-like rock formations of Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. Lisbon also beguiles with its yellow trams and orange rooftops World Voyage and Exotic Cruises. In 2018 Queen Elizabeth will cross the great Atlantic and journey down the North American coast. She will then transit the Panama Canal and call at Hawaii en route to the secluded French Polynesia Islands. She then goes on to explore New Zealand and Australia, before heading north to Japan. Here she will call at six different ports, giving you ample time to immerse yourself in this fascinating culture. Hong Kong and Singapore will follow, as well as the natural beauty of the tropical Seychelles and Mauritius. Queen Elizabeth closes off her four month adventure exploring the natural beauty of southern Africa and the Canary Islands. Book a holiday for a particular section of it, or join us for the entire unforgettable expedition. Queen Elizabeth 35
