New Anglian Confederation Navy The NAC has a long and proud naval tradition dating all the way back to 19 th century Earth s wet navy forces. The fleet places a great emphasis on large capital ships supported by the carrier force. The NAC considers cruiser class ships to be escorts for the larger capital ships. Despite the fleet s impressive ships and high level of technology, it has yet to fully recover from the losses sustained during the Kra Vak war. This, coupled with the need to provide ships to Operation Damocles (the mission to find the Kra Vak homeworlds), has left the fleet spread very thin. The NAC s holdings are simply too large for the fleet to protect. This has led to a very high operating tempo that has forced ships to skip regular yard and maintenance overhauls. The crews are also not operating at peak efficiency and personnel retention among the ranks has become a challenge. With the end of the Kra Vak war Parliament has reduced the NAC navy s budget to a fraction of what it had been. To augment the fleet, and further reduce costs, Parliament has authorized the hiring and arming of Private Military Corporations to take over some of the more routine duties traditionally handled by the fleet. There are an estimated twelve different companies working contracts from garrisoning border star systems, anti-piracy operations and convoy escort duties. The NAC Navy uses cutting edge technology wherever possible. They have begun refitting several ships with advanced Graser weapons. While these weapons are not quite as powerful as their UNSC counterparts they do offer the fleet a greater punch than before. The carrier force utilizes reinforced hangers that, while having a somewhat slower launch rate, are less susceptible to secondary explosions. The bulk of their fighters however remain older designs; the Standard F/A-34 being the primary space superiority fighter. The AT-96 Attack fighter is the typical anti-shipping fighter. The AT-96a is a modified version that carriers a pulse torpedo in place of its standard armaments. One area the NAC has excelled is in the development of robotics and limited artificial intelligence. Many of the larger capital ships are being refitted with robot fighters. These fighters are primarily for defensive purposes.

One other area the NAC has excelled is in Advanced Screen research. Working in cooperation with the American Republic (formerly Cal-Tex) they have developed an Advanced Screen system that will significantly reduce the effects of Kra Vak K- Guns. However, due to the same budget cuts that have reduced the size of the fleet, only a few capital ships have been so refitted. Author s Notes: *Note on the rules used: This fleet book was written with the Full Thrust: Project Continuum rules in mind. The carriers all have Launch Tubes/Flight Deck icons associated with the hangars. Many SSDs also have a note about using 0 Mass ADFCs. Again if your group does not use this rule feel free to disregard this upgrade. *NAC carriers are heavily compartmentalized and are not subject to the rules for Critical Hits to Hangar Bays if players are using those rules. *Tips for printing these SSDs: These SSDs are formatted to fit on 5x8 index cards. To facilitate printing simply adjust the paper size on your printer and set it to print in landscape format. *The ships designated for carrying robot fighters may carry standard or interceptor robot fighters for 12 points each. *The Grasers used on NAC ships are not as advanced as those on UNSC ships. They do not re-roll on a 6. *Many, if not most, of the SSDs here are based on Impoverished Lackey Hobby Services in cooperation with Dean Star Ranger and are used here with their permission. 5 NIMITZ CLASS HEAVY CARRIER 814NPV/898CPV (+ fighters) 240 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery The Nimitz class heavy carriers are the crown jewels of the NAC fleet. There are twelve such vessels in the NAC fleet, none of which went on Operation Damocles. They form the backbone of all NAC operations remaining in human space. With a large fighter capacity and respectable anti-ship capability this ship can hold own in a fight. The only oversight in the design is the inadequacy of its point defense suite.

ALBION CLASS BATTLE CARRIER 727NPV/852CPV (+ fighters) 214 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery Class 4 Battery The Albions are less a carrier and more a heavy battleship with added fighter capability. These ships typically carry only attack fighters which follow the ship directly into battle. The AT-96a pulse torpedo fighter is rarely carried due to its need to rearm during an engagement.

TRAFALGAR-A CLASS SUPER DREADNAUGHT 704NPV/910CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 210 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery Class 4 Battery The Trafalgar SDNs are some of the most powerful heavy units in Human space. The new SDNs were the first ships to receive the new robot fighters, often referred to as drones. The most common drone carried is the DRN-1A interceptor variant. The war came to a conclusion before the drones were introduced so their viability in combat has not been tested.

TRAFALGAR-G CLASS SUPER DREADNAUGHT 704NPV/910CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 210 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery HEAVY GRASER (Semi-Armor Piercing) Dice at range: D6 damage per hit *do not re-roll 6s The Trafalgar-G is becoming the standard configuration as ships are rotated to the yards for refit. The long term plan is to convert all Trafalgars to this standard.

TRAFALGAR-T CLASS SUPER DREADNAUGHT 704NPV/910CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 210 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Tralager-T was the only variant built before the introduction of Heavy Grasers. The Trafalgar-Ts are slowly being refitted as yard space, and funding, becomes available

TRAFALGAR-S CLASS SUPER DREADNAUGHT 723NPV/929CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 210 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens Only three Trafalgar-S variants have been built so far and one of those has been sent on Operation Damocles. The Advanced Screens will allow the ship to reduce the effects of projectile weaponry.

FARRAGUT-T CLASS HEAVY BATTLESHIP 528NPV/603CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 159 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Farragut class ships replaced the aging and poorly designed Excalibur class Battle Dreadnaughts. All of the Farraguts have been equipped with Robot Drones. Like the Trafalgar, all the ships in this class are being refitted to carry the new Heavy Grasers

FARRAGUT-G CLASS HEAVY BATTLESHIP 528NPV/603CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 159 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery HEAVY GRASER (Semi-Armor Piercing) Dice at range: D6 damage per hit *re-roll 6s This version of the Farragut will become the standard configuration for the class. One ship, the HMS Lord Burrows, has been assigned to the southern border near PAU space to engage pirate forces operating there. Thus far its efforts have been extremely successful and piracy attacks have fallen almost by half.

FARRAGUT-A CLASS HEAVY BATTLESHIP 544NPV/619CPV (+ 12 pts for Robot Fighters) 159 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens Two Farragut class ships have been refitted with Advanced Screens and have been attached to Operation Damocles. Two others are now in the yards being refitted.

MIDWAY CLASS LIGHT CARRIER 509NPV/503CPV (+ fighters) 150 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery 3 2 1

THUNDERER CLASS BATTLESHIP 438NPV/472CPV 127 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Thunderer class is the most numerous of the NACs capital ship fleet. The class is a solid design with a proven combat track record. Unfortunately all the new Thunderers under construction have been slated for sale to other foreign powers leaving the current fleet understrength and aging.

THUNDERER Stec CLASS BATTLESHIP (Conjectural, never built) 499NPV/545CPV 134 Mass AREA SCREEN 6MU radius. Functions the same as Advanced Screens for fire coming from outside the 6MU distance. Area Screens have no effect for fire coming from inside the bubble. Dice at range: Class 3 Battery The Stec class Thunderer Battleships were intended to be built once the William the Conquerer Battle cruisers had proven the Area Screen s viability. As of right now no funding has been allocated to converting or building any of these ships.

RENOWN CLASS BATTLECRUISER 277NPV/277CPV 100 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens *Disregard the Flawed Design icon for +69 points The first three Renown battle cruisers that came off the slipways had serious flaws with their aft power transfer conduits leaving them vulnerable to enemy fire. At the battle of Reinhold the HMS Queens Gate and HMS Farragut were destroyed outright after receiving only a few hits aft. The HMS Gallant sustained similar hits and lost all power. The flaw was ultimately corrected on follow-on ships.

RENOWN-A REFIT CLASS BATTLECRUISER 360NPV/360CPV 100 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Renown-A refit is a big departure from other refits. This class mounts two Advanced Screen generators making it very resistant to enemy fire. The screen generators themselves take up so much room that hull integrity has been somewhat compromised. None of these refits have seen action so it remains to be seen if the weakened structure will be a liability or not.

RENOWN William the Conqueror CLASS BATTLECRUISER 358NPV/358CPV 100 Mass AREA SCREEN 6MU radius. Functions the same as Advanced Screens for fire coming from outside the 6MU distance. Screens have no effect for fire coming from inside the bubble Dice at range: *Disregard the Flawed Design icon for +72 points The HMS William the Conqueror was refitted with an experimental Advanced Area Screen generator. The refit required many of the ships power conduits to be routed externally leaving the ship vulnerable to damage. As an experimental ship not intended for combat this was considered acceptable. However with the launch of operation Damocles the ship was assigned to one of the NAC battle groups embarking on the mission.

FEARLESS CLASS ESCORT CARRIER 350NPV/317CPV (+fighters) 100 Mass Dice at range: PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Fearless class is actually a refit for the Renown class battle cruisers. Roughly half of these hulls have been built as Escort carriers. The fighter bays, while limited, can carry any fighter available and its not unusual for squadrons to tailored for each mission.

BATTLEAXE CLASS HEAVY CRUISER 287NPV/273CPV 83 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery The Battleaxe is easily a match for any nation s cruiser. Frequently employed in squadrons of three these ships have built a reputation more deserving of a capital ship than a mere cruiser. With the shrinking size of the fleet, and fewer capital ships available, the Battleaxe has taken on a larger role. Several ships have been refitted with Pulse torpedoes replacing the Beam 3s. This variant is typically used as a squadron flagship.

BATTLEAXE-S CLASS HEAVY CRUISER 301NPV/287CPV 83 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery The Battleaxe-S is the most recent class to incorporate the new screens. Its screen grid is actually more powerful than the Trafalgar class SDNs. The refit required some reduction in the ship s offensive capabilities however.

TIGER CLASS STRIKE CRUISER 238NPV/217CPV 70 Mass Dice at range: PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Tiger class is actually fairly rare in the fleet. Built originally as a convoy raider it was discovered to be too slow for that role. The ships capabilities put it more in the role of a light cruiser. A fair number of these are being sold off to other governments including the PAU and AMR.

SUFFOLK CLASS ESCORT CRUISER 217NPV/194CPV 64 Mass Dice at range: The Suffolk is the primary escort ship for carrier groups. Its large point defense suit is impressive. The only drawback however is the lack of redundancy in its ADFC targeting systems. Plans are in the works, however, to begin upgrading these with an additional ADFC.

LANCASTER CLASS LIGHT CRUISER 180NPV/155CPV 54 Mass Dice at range: Class 3 Battery The Lancaster cruiser is an ideal raider and flanking ship. Excelling in both roles, it has taken the place of the Tiger class strike cruiser.

TULSA CLASS HEAVY DESTROYER 139NPV/115CPV 42 Mass Dice at range: PULSE TORPEDOES (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 12 mu 18 mu 24 mu 30 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Tulsa class destroyer is the main screening vessel for NAC battle groups. Its Pulse torpedo armament gives the ship a significant impact for its size.

TULSA-E CLASS BOMBARDMENT DESTROYER 160NPV/135CPV 46 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 MISSILE Range 24 MU Salvo: D6 missiles in salvo, D6 DP each The Tulsa-E was built specifically to target enemy bases and soften up the target with saturation missile attacks. Usually paired up with munitions colliers, these ships can maintain a respectable bombardment. The only drawback is the limited range of the missiles.

TALLAHACHIE CLASS DESTROYER 113NPV/91CPV 34 Mass Dice at range: The Tallahachie class is a typical and fairly ordinary destroyer and is comparable to what other navies are fielding. Its speed and medium weight weaponry does allow it to give a good account of itself in low intensity engagements.

ACHILLES FFH/E CLASS ESCORT FRIGATE 89NPV/70CPV 26 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 The Achilles-E escort is usually assigned in pairs to battle groups that lack fighter cover. These ships are considered disposable, unfortunately, for their crews.

CAMBRIDGE CLASS TORPEDO FRIGATE 77NPV/59CPV 23 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 SHORT RANGE PULSE TORPEDO (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 8 mu 12 mu 16 mu 20 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Cambridge class is designed more as a fast attacker or raiding ship. If it can get in close enough it can inflict more damage than its small size would normally suggest.

TROUTBRIDGE CLASS STRIKE FRIGATE 70NPV/54CPV 20 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 SHORT RANGE PULSE TORPEDO (Semi Armor Piercing) Hit mu 8 mu 12 mu 16 mu 20 mu DP 1D6, ignores screens The Troutbridge class predated the Cambridges but is still built in fairly large numbers. Intended to operate in squadrons of 4 the ships employ a wolf pack doctrine to attack larger ships from aft.

COMANCHE CLASS CORVETTE 49NPV/37CPV 14 Mass NEEDLE BEAMS Dice at range: 0-12 *Select a specific system then roll a D6. On a 4+ score a single point of damage to the hull. On a 6 also destroy the target system. Destroyed systems cannot be repaired. The Comanche is usually flown in pairs and used as a fast attacker to knock out key systems on enemy ships. They were used in large numbers with great success against the Kra Vak, knocking out the engines on key ships. Unable to maneuver the target ship was rendered virtually ineffective and easily destroyed.

ARROW CLASS SCOUT 37NPV/28CPV 10 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 The Arrow class is the NACs main scouting and surveying craft. In peacetime the ships will often be outfitted with extra supplies for long range missions. Unlike other navies the Arrow class has predominately civilian crews consisting of science or other government personnel.

LANCER CLASS CORVETTE 35NPV/26CPV (105NPV/78CPV for squadron of 3) 10 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 SUBMUNITIONS PACKS 3BD* hits to 6 mu, 2 BD* to 12 mu, and 1 BD* to 18 mu. Bypasses standard screens. See section 7.3 of the rules for damage vs Advanced Screens. The Lancer class is barely a step up from a gunboat but is intended to fulfill the same mission. Its speed allows it to quickly close with enemy ships where its Submunition Packs can be the most effective. Once it has fired off its ordnance it quickly withdraws from the battle to re-arm.

GALLAHAD CLASS ASSAULT TRANSPORT 247NPV/161CPV 120 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 The Gallahad is typical of the various Gator freighters in the NAC fleet. The troop carrying capacity is extensive, allowing the ship to transport Power Armor troops, ground support aircraft, and armor. Two older Gallahads have been converted into hospital ships and have a very high operation tempo providing humanitarian assistance in a variety of locations.

GALLAHAD-SFC CLASS ASSAULT TRANSPORT 391NPV/326CPV (+assault shuttles/fighters) 120 Mass Dice at range: 0-12 The Gallahad-SFC is a new conversion in use by the NAC Special Operations Command. Only one ship has been commissioned so far with another one under construction. Its mission is to allow rapid deployment of special operations teams in response to hostage crises, civil unrest, or counter piracy operations. It is capable of carrying five squadrons of assault craft plus their troops though the SFC doctrine calls for four squadrons of assault craft plus one squadron of supporting fighters.

PRIVATE MILITARY CONTRACTOR CRUISER 258NPV/235CPV 76 Mass Dice at range: NEEDLE BEAMS Dice at range: *Select a specific system then roll a D6. On a 4+ score a single point of damage to the hull. On a 6 also destroy the target system. Destroyed systems cannot be repaired. This is typical of a PMC or Mercenary cruiser. Most are converted civilian mining or survey ships. This particular example is a converted asteroid prospecting ship operated by the BlackVoid Private Security Company. Note: A wide variety of ships are used by PMC companies so players may use whatever models of the appropriate size they wish
