3 Vest Adjustment The shoulder and waist openings feature double-overlap touch tape closure flaps as the means of vest security and adjustment. Double overlap flaps This simple opening method eliminates the requirement for adjustment buckles and: Offers a more stable platform than buckle & webbing closures which are unstable and scissor vertically and laterally. Allows greater load shedding over the shoulders than buckle & webbing closures which only distribute load over a 50mm wide strip. Allows quick donning and doffing without risk of snagging loose webbing. Remains secure against an attacker attempting to open the vest and compromise the officer. Provides easy and infinite vest adjustment within the allowable range. Eliminates hard plastic or metal objects which provide discomfort against the body and are possible snag and catch points. The waist size of the vest is adjustable by a total of 100mm (50mm at each side). In addition, the rear can be snugly held to the body by the internal belly band. The length of the vest is adjustable by a total of 75mm.
