It creates a crisp, clean, clear, focused circle of light at long distances. The adjustable beam gives the natural eyesight the ability to function at its best without adverse reaction to reflected light. Constructed of aircraft grade aluminum, the Optical Dynamics OD40 is shockproof and resistant to water and momentary submersion. 6 EXPLORE / FLASHLIGHTS All Walther Pro flashlights and the HL31r headlamp feature the Universal Function System (UFS), a simple, user-friendly operating concept. The first time you push the microswitch, you get 100 percent output. Further pushes, if they are repeated within three seconds, take you to the lower brightness levels of 40 percent and 10 percent respectively. A fourth click turns off the light. However, if you stay at one brightness level for more than three seconds, the next click switches off the light. All models provide a Tactical Defense Strobe (TDS) for warding off attackers. It can be activated from any brightness level, or even from Off, by pressing the microswitch for longer than 0.5 seconds. But this Walther headlamp offers even more. Its black aircraft aluminum body holds a Cree XP-L chip that provides outputs of 100, 40 and 10 percent and jumps into defense strobe mode at the touch of a button. With some, a rechargeable battery is already included. Thus when you buy a Pro flashlight you are not dependent on certain battery types. In addition, in keeping with our commitment to the environment, this system helps to conserve natural resources and cut back on waste

10 EXPLORE / POCKET SIZE SL40 MAX 275 LUMENS The SL40 is the entry-level model in the Slim Line series, and even for this series it s surprisingly compact: lean and short, but innovative when it comes to performance. The Cree XP-L chip in its matt black aluminum body generates an impressive 275-lumen beam that can be stepped down to 40 and 10 percent for activities like map reading. The chip also controls the Tactical Defense Strobe. Powered by a single high-performance CR123 battery, the SL40 can operate for up to 33 hours and has no problems with rain (watertight with a rating of IPX4). But that doesn t mean they re weaklings, as the SL65 demonstrates. With its many practical features and incredible 759-lumen beam, it s a genuine Walther Pro. At the touch of a button you can switch between three different output levels (100, 40 and 10 percent) as well as a Tactical Defense Strobe. The rugged body made of black aircraft aluminum provides a good grip and is watertight as per IPX4.
