Main Street Aubrey, Texas (940) July 24, 2014 Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC, 1001 All Pro Drive Elkhart, In TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I am writing to inform you of the problems we have had and the problem we continue to have with our 2013 Cyclone, yin 1$ and request that you correct this problem within (30) days of your receipt of this letter. I purchased my RV from Explore USA Super Center, Denton, Texas on August 18, Before I purchased the RV I asked two different sales people (Rusty Delaughter and John? )three different times if the RV would be hard to cool because it is so big and each time they said there would be no problem as the RV is well insulated. I picked up the RV on August 24, 2012 after final inspection. We used the RV the first weekend in September The water pump was not working right and the air conditioner would not cool the RV. It was very hot and miserable in the trailer. I took the RV back to Explore USA September 4, 2012 and they fixed the water pump. After running tests on the AC unit the technician contacted JD with Heartland. The technician did as he was instructed to do by Heartland and he sprayed foam in the front vent in the living room and the rear vent by loft bed to separate the two units. The technician said I should consider adding a third AC unit. He said there are about three months out of the year that these trailers are hard to cool because they are so big. if I added a third unit there would be another cord that I would have to plug in and that Heartland would not pay for it. I contacted JD with Heartland myself and told him that I didn't like the idea of having to have another cord to plug in for the extra AC unit. I told him that I would like it to be fixed right and add a third AC unit but tie it in without having to have another cord. He told me that they could not do that. He also admitted to me that Heartland was aware of the AC problem and their engineers were working on trying to fix it. He said Heartland would not pay to fix the RV. We used the RV again in October 2012 and while we were driving to our destination the weather stripping was blowing off the front. When we got to the lake where we were going to stay the hydraulic switch was broke and would not lift the trailer off of my truck. Therefore, we had to find another place to stay and were unable to use my truck all weekend. The next day there was water on the kitchen floor and under the kitchen cabinets. I called JD with Heartland and he said he would send a new hydraulic switch and new weather stripping (which he did). He also stated the water was from the ice maker. He said that he was making a list of everything that was going wrong with my RV. The third time we used the RV was Labor Day weekend in September We could not even enjoy ourselves because the trailer was so hot. In January 2014 my wife called the regional manager Doug Richards (817) Doug told my wife he was sorry for all the problems we were

4 having with the RV and that there was a new manager named Adrian at Explore USA and that most of the employees that worked there at the time of purchase were no longer working there because Heartland "cleaned house". My wife called Adrian ( in January 2014 and he told her that we could bring the RV back to run another test on the AC unit but more than likely we would have to add a third unit. My wife asked Adrian If we were the only ones experiencing problems with the AC and he said you would be surprised at how many people bring these trailers back to have a third unit added because these trailers are so big and they are hard to cool. My wife called Heartland and talked to the lead technician Brandon Fish (574) in January and he told her that there was nothing wrong with the AC unit and that Heartland was not responsible to fix it just because we were not comfortable. He stated Heartland cannot help what the sales people say when they are trying to sell a trailer. It would be like him saying that our RV would float on water. He said that Heartland would not pay for anything. I then went back to Explore USA and talked to Adrian arid he said the technician should have never sprayed foam in the vents to begin with. I told him that I want the AC fixed right and I want the RV that will cool like I was told when I purchased it. It is a big investment and we would like to enjoy it. Adrian said that neither Explore USA nor Heartland would pay to fix the unit. I have attached a copy of the repair order which document the attempts to repair my RV. This problem substantially impairs the use of my RV. Therefore, if you or your dealerships are unable to correct this problem I will expect you to replace or repurchase the RV pursuant to chapter 2301, Subchapter M of the Texas Occupations Code Annotated.
