Registration Important information for presenters During the APERA-TERA 2016 conference from November 9th to 13th, the daily registration time is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the first floor of the International Building in National Sun Yat-sen University. Please present your registration number at the registration desk to obtain an ID tag and a conference bag. B. Presentation instructions (a) Time allotted for each presentation in an oral session is 15 minutes. Presenters must arrive at the meeting room at least 20 minutes before their session begins. Each meeting room is equipped with a Windows XP computer (with Office 2010 or 2013) and a data/video projector. (b) Staff will remind the presenters of their presentation time at 5 minutes and 3 minutes before the end of the presentation. (c) Please upload your presentation files on the computer at least 10 minutes prior to the session. (d) Presenters of posters shall attach papers by themselves according to their identification numbers and titles. Please find information on the maps shown around the registration desk and exhibition areas. (e) Please find the time of poster sessions in the program. Authors are expected to be at their poster when its session is scheduled. Please remove your own poster at the end of presentation. C. Other notices (a) Refreshments are provided during the breaks, but are to be enjoyed in designated areas and not in the meeting rooms. (b) Please show your stamp with the registration to obtain meals from service counters, located on the 1 st floor or the 5 th floor at the International Building (according to the day of the agenda, the venue will be announced). (c) For internet use, please connect to the Wi-Fi server (NSYSU) with the ID and the password as APERA-TERA2016. (d) English is the main presenting language from November 10 th to 11 th ; whilst both English and Chinese are used in the presentations delivered on Nov. 12 th. (e) Smoking at the National Sun Yat-sen University campus is prohibited. Thank you for not smoking in any places during the time of conference.

2 (f) Transportation: From Taoyuan International Airport, you can take the Taiwan High Speed Rail from Taoyuan station to Zouying station, with a ride of 90 minutes. Then take the MRT from Zouying station (Red Line) to Sizihwan Station (Orange Line), with a ride of 25 minutes. The NSYSU campus is about 10 minutes walk from the Sizihwan Station (Exit 1) Alternatively, there is a shuttle bus available in the Sizihwan Station. Enclosed herewith the timetable, please see pages From Kaohsiung International Airport, you may either call a taxi directly to NSYSU campus, with a ride of 40 minutes, or take the MRT from KIA station (Red Line) to Sizihwan Station (Orange Line), with a ride of 30 minutes. From Taipei, you can take the Taiwan High Speed Rail to Zouying station, with a ride of 90 minutes to 2 hours. Urban Spotlight is Kaohsiung's newest sightseeing spot and was developed from an old park, which was revitalized to make Kaohsiung an even more beautiful city! 15 Liuhe Night Matket Address: Liuhe 2nd Road, Xinxin District Rapid transit Traffic: orange Line(sizihwan) get off in the beautiful island station and then waik about 5 minutes to the Liuhe market Tel: Liouhe Night Market is one of the most famous night markets in Taiwan, also a noted tourism spot of Kaohsiung. Liouhe Night Market occupied Zhongsan road to Zili road, Kaohsiung City, which is not far from Kaohsiung train station. Covering variety of street food, local flavor snacks and fresh seafood, restaurants and vendors are full of both side of the road. The area of night market has been programmed for pedestrians only in the evening; the government also rebuilt the entire area to create a international tourism night market. You are able to find any kind of dishes here, the papaya milk and steamed shrimps are the signature of Kaohsiung City, a tropical and ocean city. Steak houses providing low-price and set menu for families, visitors favorite seafood cuisines are another highlight of Liuho Night Market. You are able to tour nearby Kaohsiung spots like Urban Spotlight, Love River, Sizih Bay and Cijin Scenic Area. Rapid transit Red Line Ecological District MRT bus transfer information Red 51 Tel: Lotus Pond is located east of Zuoying's old community and west of the North-South railway line. Guei Mountain lies to the south and Banping Mountain to the north. The lake has an area of approximately 75 hectares. In 1686, Yang Fang-sheng, the Fongshan magistrate built the Wen Temple (old Confucius Temple) with Lotus Pond as its companion pool. Lotus flowers were planted in the pond for decoration. The lotus flowers bloom every summer and the refreshing fragrance has given it the name "Lotus Pond". The "Companion Pool's Lotus Fragrance" is considered one of the "Eight Wonders" of Fongshan. In 1842, the Fongshan magistrate Cao Jin ordered Jheng Lan, a local noble, to dig a waterway for farmland irrigation with water from Lotus Pond. Rice and fish became Singlongjhuan's major products. It also became a popular location to build temples. On the west side of the pond from north to south are the Confucius Temple, Ciming Temple, Spring and Autumn Pagodas, Wuli Arbor as well as the Dragon Tiger Tower. The solemn Confucius Temple is located further north. The other locations are clustered together in the south. The bridges, pagodas, towers and bright colors make Lotus Pond a vibrant, renowned destination in Zuoying, especially for those interested in visiting temples. The east side of Lotus Pond is a spacious lakeside path, with the old city of Zuoying on the west side. Many souvenir shops can be found here and it's usually buzzing with people. The south shore, linked by Shengli Road and Sinjhuangzih Road, create a complete loop around the pond. Lotus Pond is always shrouded in mist at dawn and dusk, making it very picturesque and mysterious. It is said Lotus Pond rivals the beauty of Xi Lake. Source:

18 Sizihwan Bay Address: Traffic: At the end of Shaochuan Street turn right (Before Sun Yet-Sen University) bus 99 Sizihwan 248 Rapid transit orange Line Sizihwan Watching the sunset over Sizihwan Bay is one of the highlights of Kaohsiung. At dusk, people gather along the stone railing beside the sea, to get a good view of the sunset. As night falls, couples can be found in the gaps between the railings. These gaps in the railings are referred to as "Lovers' Caves" or "Carrot Pits", making Sizihwan Bay a tremendously romantic place to visit. There is a park right next to the Beach. Lifeguards and lifesaving facilities are available, making it the best choice for swimming and fun in the water during the hot summer months. Beach facilities include a seaside walkway, a nature trail and an ecological zone. Even when the beach is not officially open, many people still enjoy visiting the area. It provides excellent views of ships out at sea as well as the massive Cihou Mountain.

The warehouses were built in Due to the persistence of local artists, the area was finally released and remade to be an arts center. In 2006, the Bureau of Cultural Affairs of Kaohsiung City Government and under management of the Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Development Association and Shu-Te University's art development workshop [2] took over the center, starting a series of exhibitions.
