19 1 st EAN Flight! First EAN flight conducted on 15 th Nov 2016 The 3 hour flight trial tested the performance of the on-board equipment developed by Thales UK and the ground network provided by Deutsche Telekom/Nokia. Network successfully attached to the ground system, at all four test sites located in the south west of the UK. Multiple successful handovers between sectors and cell towers, and maintained a stable connection and the transfer of data to and from the aircraft. This was the first of a series of flights scheduled as we go through CGC and MSS development stages.
