3 Dr. Sue Adventure & Meditation Itinerary: Egypt The Healing Temples Tour WED MAR 8: DAY 1 USA Depart from USA. THURS MAR 9: DAY 2 CAIRO Arrive in Cairo early afternoon to connect with flight to Aswan. Board the Nile Cruise for five nights. FRI MAR 10: DAY 3 - CAIRO/AS- WAN Flight to Abu Simbel in the land of Nubia. Visit the colossal temple of Ramses II cut into the mountain. Explore this extraordinary site along with the smaller temple that Ramses dedicated to his wife, Nefertari. SAT MAR 11: DAY 4 ASWAN Visit the Nubian Museum. Visit the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Explore the ancient granite quarries where workmen once carved and left the Unfinished Obelisks. In the afternoon, sail by felucca (sail boat) to Elephantine Island and the Temple of the creator god, Khnum. SUN MAR 12: DAY 5 ASWAN/KOMOMBO/EDFU In the morning, sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple of Kom Ombo, built for the gods Sobek and Horus. Continue sailing to Edfu. Roll through the ancient city of Edfu to the temple of Horus and his consort Hathor on a horse buggy. This temple is dedicated to the reunion of the gods and goddesses. Sail past the Esna Locks and enjoy the evening on deck under a spectacular night sky. MON MAR 13: DAY 6 LUXOR Reach the city of Luxor in the morning. Explore the elaborate complex of ancient architecture at the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. TUES MAR 14: DAY 7 LUXOR Visit the West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens where the ancient pharaohs, including King Tutankhamen and Ramses II and their wives, were buried along with their treasures. Lunch at the historic courtyard of the venerable Sheikh Ali Restaurant, the watering hole for the most renowned Egyptologists including Howard Carter of King Tut fame. Following lunch, visit the great mortuary temples of Hatshepsut, Ramses II, and Ramses III, as well as the ancient village of Dier el Medina, with its extraordinary tombs of the ordinary workers who built the temples. WED MAR 15: DAY 8 CAIRO Drive north to visit the temple of the goddess Hathor at Dendarah and the Temple of Osiris at Abydos. View the Bent Pyramid and the Step Pyramid, the oldest stone building in history that was built 5,000 years ago by the genius architect Imhotep. Mena House Hotel (B, L, D) FRI MAR 17: DAY 10 CAIRO Explore the monuments on Giza Plateau. Visit the Great Pyramid, the only surviving intact monument of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Visit the interior of the King and Queen s Chamber with a special permission granted by the Egyptian Antiquities Department. At sunset, take a camel ride past all the monuments on the Giza Plateau. Mena House Hotel (B, L, D) SAT MAR 18: DAY 11 CAIRO Spend the morning viewing the Egyptian Museum s famous collection of King Tutankhamen as well as the treasures from the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and New Kingdom. Enjoy an authentic Egyptian lunch and music in the Old City. Stroll through history up the 16th century street of the Tentmakers, through the 10th century Fatimid city with its medieval houses, inns and marketplaces. Experience Al-Azhar, the oldest functioning university in the world. Spend the evening shopping or enjoying an elaboratelyserved tea in the famous Cairo Suq, Khan el-khalili s ageold outdoor market. He studied Ancient Egyptian and Islamic Art and Archaeology at Cairo University and has served as former archeologist for the Egyptian Antiquities. Fadel s comprehensive knowledge of Ancient Egypt, along with his background in comparative religions and spiritual studies has enabled him to fill lecture halls and conduct a variety of successful international tours. Fadel frequently lectures on Egyptian mythology with its spiritual aspects in Egyptian Art, and the Ancient Egyptian concept of Gods and Goddesses. I acknowledge and agree that it is my responsibility to make my own inquiries regarding my trip, including any relevant government travel safety warnings. PASSPORT/VISAS. I acknowledge that I must have a passport valid for six months past the expected end date of my JourneyAwake Excursion. It is also my responsibility to obtain valid entry visas for all countries where so required, prior to departure. Failure to obtain correct documentation may affect my participation in all or any portion of the JourneyAwake Excursion. VACCINATIONS. Immunization requirements vary from country to country. I acknowledge and agree that it is my responsibility to consult my personal physician, a local public health board or the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta Required inoculations, if any, must be recorded by my health practitioner on a valid vaccination certificate which I must carry for proof of inoculation where required. TRAVEL INSURANCE. I acknowledge that I am urged to arrange comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may occur during the JourneyAwake Excursion. MORTER INSTITUTE is not liable in any regard for my failure to adequately insure myself, and I agree to indemnify and hold MORTER INSTITUTE harmless for any expenses or delays incurred as a result of my failure to adequately insure myself. JOURNEYAWAKE EXCURSION PRICE. The JourneyAwake Excursion Price is the total amount listed on my Itinerary. All JourneyAwake Excursion Prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars. I acknowledge that I have three options to pay the remaining balance of my JourneyAwake Excursion: 1. Monthly Payment Plan requires the total excursion price to paid by the final payment date as listed in the itinerary. Payment may be via check, money order or credit card on file. 2._Split Pay Option requires the total excursion price to be paid in two equal payments by the dates as listed in the itinerary. Payments will be charged to the credit card on file. 3._Final Payment requires the total excursion balance to be paid by the final payment date as listed in the itinerary. Payment will be charged to the credit card on file. CANCELLATION NOTICE. I acknowledge that cancellation notices must be issued to MORTER INSTITUTE in writing during its regular office hours and confirmed via or telephone conversation back from MORTER INSTITUTE. I will call and/or info@ drsuemorter.com if I must cancel my JourneyAwake Excursion. CANCELLATION FEES. I acknowledge that in the event of cancellation, I will be liable to pay MORTER INSTITUTE cancellation fees as listed in the itinerary. IMAGE AND AUDIO RELEASE. I agree to grant MORTER INSTITUTE a worldwide, royalty-free license to use my photographic, video or digital likeness, or audio recordings solely for promotional, educational and/or commercial purposes. I, the undersigned, agree to this release of all claims, waiver of liability and assumption of risk. I waive any and all claims I may have, now and in the future, and release from all liability and agree not to sue Dr. Sue Morter, LLC (doing business as MORTER INSTITUTE), or its employees for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in a JourneyAwake Excursion due to any cause whatsoever, without limitation. I am aware that the JourneyAwake Excursion offered, in addition to the usual risks inherent in international travel, has certain additional risks such as physical exertion for which I may not be prepared. I accept all of the inherent risks of the JourneyAwake Excursion, and the possibility of personal injury, permanent disability, death or property damage or loss resulting therefrom. Full-pay option remaining balance is automatically charged on December 16, 2016 to the credit card on file. Bookings made on or after December 16, 2016 require full payment immediately upon booking. CANCELLATION TIMELINE AND FEES Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable. Cancellations received prior to December 16, 2016 will have a penalty of 50% of the amount paid and 100% of the deposit. Cancellations received between December 16, 2016-February 15, 2017 will have a penalty of 75% of the amount paid and 100% of the deposit.
