2 Experience trekking in diverse Japan mountains; from a touristy hike in Mt. Takao to a remote mountain range of Hida Mountains in the Northern Alps in Nagano and Toyama regions. You will also get to summit the second highest mountain in Japan and its neighbor peaks in the Southern Alps. Climb the highest mountain Mt. Fuji and witness its lunar landscape and stunning sunrise Goraiko. Take a journey along valleys, ridges, snow covered mountains, volcanic trails, and rainforests. You'll have more than enough of adventures in the land of the rising sun. If you are planning to hike only Mt. Fuji and Mt. Takao, there is no need to bring camping equipment. Only a pack and warm clothing is required. On the other hand; you need camping system, camp kitchen, harness, crampons, and food in the Japanese Alps. Personal Equipment -backpack (40-60L) -waterproof/plastic liner -good tent -sleeping pad/mattress -warm sleeping bag -first aid kit -harness and anchor -crampons -survival kit -trekking pole -headlamp/torch -cooking and eating utensils (portable stove and fuel, pot/pan, knife, spork, plate) -toiletries -matches/lighter -rubbish bag Clothing -one set of clothes to trek in and another dry set to change into at night -fleece -trekking pants -raincoat (waterproof, windproof, with hood) -warm jacket -overtrousers (waterproof and windproof) -trekking boots (preferably waterproof) -socks (wool) -hat/cap -gloves -beanie -neck warmer / scarf
