2 Itinerary Cycle through the stunning surrounds of the Italian Alps. Day 1 22 August 2017 Your flight departs tonight at 11.25pm with your arrival into Venice at 12.50pm with Qatar Airways. Day 2 23 August 2017 Your flight arrives today at 12.50pm. You will be met at Venice Airport and transferred to our hotel in the countryside. With the support of the guide and mechanic team, guests will be fitted to their bikes before we enjoy a roll through the local countryside. Ride distance: 31km, 325m of Vehicle transfer distance pre/post ride: 0km/0km. Overnight: Relais Monaco, 4-star, Ponzano Veneto. Following a stunning drive North through the Dolomites, we ll start the tour s climbing with 3 stunning ascents. The Pordoi, Sella and Gardena passes feature regularly in the Giro d Italia and form 3/4 of the famous Sella Ronda circuit. Majestic views will provide a beautiful introduction to riding in the Dolomites. In the evening, the group will enjoy dinner at our base in the heart of the mountains. Day 4 25 August 2017 Option 1: Climbs: Passo Campolongo, Passo Giau, Passo Falzarego. Ride distance: 83km, 2495m of Option 2: Climbs: Passo Campolongo, Passo Falzarego. Ride distance: 51km, 1355m of 0km/0km. Overnight: Hotel Col Alto, Corvara (breakfast/dinner). Highlights: Two amazing ride routes, offering the right challenge for all guests. Complete the Sella Ronda with the Campolongo and its stunning views. Conquer one of the Giro s most famous climbs, Passo Giau. Ride the Passo Falzarego and see firsthand WWI history at the mountain top museum. Departing directly from the hotel, the Compolongo is towered over by the impressive Sella Massif rock face. From there a stunning descent and ride along the valley flank leads to two ride choices. A beautiful climb up the Falzarego or the more challenging ride which also takes in Passo Giau, one of the Giro s toughest, before taking on the east face of the Falzarego. Atop the Falzarego, guests will have the opportunity to visit a WWI museum and learn about the fighting that took place in the region. Day 5 26 August 2017 Option 1: Climbs: Passo Valparola, Tre Coci, Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Ride distance: 87km, 2271m of 0km/75km. Option 2: Climbs: Tre Coci, Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Ride distance: 68km, 1489m of 19km/75km. Overnight: Hotel Col Alto, Corvara (breakfast/dinner). Highlights: Take on the Valparola climb before a beautiful forested descent to the famous ski village of Corvara. Challenge yourself on the epic steep pitches of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Enjoy a stein in Austria, following a 25km descent to finish the day. Guests will be able to take on the steady climb of Valparola or save their legs by starting from the top. From there a beautiful winding climb through forest leads to the coffee stop in Corvara, holiday destination of the rich and famous. The afternoon gives guests the chance to take on the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the site of Vincenzo Nibali s epic Giro win in the snow. From there a 25km descent leads to our ride conclusion, close to the Austrian border. A short drive will then have us at our favourite local Austrian bar and lederhosen shop for a relaxing stein and strudel. Day 6 27 August 2017 Climbs: Passo Gardena Ride distance: 72km, 1258m of 0km/160km. Overnight: Hotel Villa Rosa, Desenzano del Garda (breakfast/lunch/dinner).

3 Itinerary (continued) Enjoy a private cruise across Lake Garcia. Highlights: One final climb in the Dolomites with the eastern face of Passo Gardena. Enjoy over 40km of descending to the valley floor. Follow a converted old rail line through to our lunch stop. Experience a festive lunch in a great Tyrollean micro brewery. After some big ride days, we ll take it easier on day 5. Guests will have their last Dolomite climb, up the scenic Passo Gardena. From there it is largely all downhill to lunch, with some 1700m of vertical drop to the valley floor. Then it s on to our favourite destination in Bolzano, a Tyrollean micro brewery, for a lunch of local food and the chance to try their local brew. The group will then follow the valley to our new hotel on the shores of Lake Garda, where we will rejoin the non-riding group for dinner. Day 7 28 August 2017 Rest day Overnight: Hotel Villa Rosa, Desenzano del Garda (breakfast/dinner). Highlights: Enjoy a sleep in and a swim in Lake Garda to regenerate the legs. Visit historic Verona and learn about the incredible history of the city. Dine at one of Italy s best wine restaurants and enjoy their great wine. The mid-way point of the tour will be the rest day for the group. With time at leisure, guests will be able to explore the beautiful village of Desenzano, stop for lunch and even have a swim in the lake or hotel pool. In the afternoon we ll transfer to Verona, one of Italy s most beautiful cities. Here guests will be able to join a local expert for a guided tour, or explore the city at leisure. In the evening, the group will be welcomed to one of the best restaurants for wine in Italy, rated in the top 5 in Italy. The food is excellent too! Here we ll enjoy a great dinner, with matching wines. Day 8 29 August 2017 Ride distance: 51km, 587m of 0km/0km. Overnight: Hotel Villa Rosa, Desenzano del Garda (breakfast) Highlights: Get the legs going again with a scenic ride through vineyards and olive groves. Break for coffee in a stunning port village, on the banks of Lake Garda. Explore the lake on a private guided cruise and visiting historic villages. The group will head out in the morning for a ride through the local vineyards and olive groves. Riding up over the hill will afford stunning views across Lake Garda. In the afternoon, guests will enjoy a private cruise across Lake Garda. Along the way we ll see the incredible homes and boats of the Italian elite, plus break for a gelato in a stunning ancient village. Dinner in the evening is at leisure, a great chance to try one of the many excellent restaurants in Desenzano. Day 9 30 August 2017 Climbs: Passo Gavia. Ride distance: 43km, 1357m of 148km/0km. Overnight: Hotel Eden, Bormio (breakfast/dinner). Highlights: A scenic drive via Lago d Iseo and the Parco dell Adamello. Climb one of the Giro s most famous climbs, the Passo Gavia. Enjoy a hot chocolate by the fire in the mountain refuge at the top. Visit the historic centre of Bormio and enjoy local pasta and pizza. Heading out from Desenzano, we ll transfer via a scenic mountain highway, with stunning views across Lago d Iseo and the Parco dell Adamello. From Ponte di Legno, the group will start the climb of Passo Gavia. Featuring regularly in the Giro d Italia, it is a truly spectacular climb. A leisurely start through the valley quickly turns challenging with the steep pitches extending over 10 per cent. Tight roads and countless switchbacks lead to the alpine lake and summit. On arriving at the top, guests can enjoy a photo at the Giro monuments and then head inside the mountain refuge for some mountain food by the fire. A technical first part of the descent leads to a beautiful road winding through the forest to the valley floor. Guests will then ride directly to our incredible final hotel. In the evening, guests will be taken to our favourite pizzeria in Bormio. Day August 2017 Climbs: Passo Stelvio (Bormio & Prato faces). Ride distance: 99km, 3222m of 0km/0km. Overnight: Hotel Eden, Bormio (breakfast). Highlights: Take on the tour s Queen stage with the two iconic faces of the Stelvio. Ride from the hotel to take on the southern face. Enjoy a stunning descent in to Switzerland. Take the iconic north-west face from Prato with over 30 switchbacks to the summit. Enjoy the support of the non-riding group as they meet us in Switzerland The Stelvio is one of the world s truly great climbs. We ll be offering the group the chance to climb its two most iconic faces. Guests will have the option to climb the second face only,

4 Itinerary (continued) Dine in some of Italy s best wine restaurants. should they wish. Riding directly from the hotel we ll climb to the summit via switchbacks and a beautiful alpine meadow. From there a tight descent takes the group in to neighbouring Switzerland where we ll be met by the non-riding group. After a break for lunch, we ll then climb the north-west face, from Prato dello Stelvio. One of the most impressive engineering feats, the climb winds its way for over 20km to the summit, affording amazing views that will keep you motivated. Following the customary celebration photos at the top, we ll then descend to the hotel, before dinner is enjoyed at leisure in Bormio. Day 11 1 September 2017 Climb: Lago di Cancano. Ride distance: 30km, 900m of 0km/0km. Overnight: Hotel Eden, Bormio (breakfast). Highlights: Celebratory climb to conclude the tour to Lago di Cancano. Ride some of the tightest switchbacks in Italy. Afternoon at the historic Bagni Vecchi thermal baths. Farewell dinner at a top restaurant in Bormio. After the challenge of the Queen stage, the group will enjoy a leisurely, yet iconic, final climb to conclude the tour. The ascent to Lago di Cancano is extraordinary and the view from the top, something special. Here we will enjoy a relaxing coffee before descending back to our hotel. During the afternoon guests will have the choice of time to relax and explore Bormio, or an afternoon at the Bagni Vecchi Thermal Baths. Dating back to Roman times, the mountain side baths are truly special. In the evening the group will enjoy a farewell dinner at a top local restaurant. Day 12 2 September 2017 Following breakfast, guests will be transferred to Malpensa airport for your flights home or onward travel. Your flight departs from Milan at 4.50pm with Qatar Airways. Day 13 Your flight arrives into Perth at 6.15pm About the rides Our rides are designed to give guests the challenge that suits them. We structure our rides to have one guide at the front who will go at the speed of the faster riders and one guide at the rear who will go at the speed of the slowest rider with further guides within the group depending on group size. On flatter sections we tend to ride as one or two groups and on the climbs guests are invited to climb and descend at the speed they feel comfortable and are capable of. During the rides we tend to stop for a coffee or breaks along the way every now and then. For riders wishing to do a shorter distance we have support vehicles with the ride group that will assist here in either starting guests later in order to ride through to the finish or picking guests up as they require along the way. We will make adjustments to the ride options along the way as we get a feel for the standards of riders to ensure the best experience possible for all guests. We may also make adjustments due to weather, road conditions, traffic and race impacts. Guests will be informed of these as early as possible. Our support vehicles and driving guides provide mechanical & nutritional support, carrying food & drink for all guests along with tools and a range of spare parts. We also carry your extra clothing, cameras, etc as you require for distribution along the way. Our staff also take photos of guests along the way which we share at the end of the tour. 5 About your escort and guide team Scott Sunderland is a former Australian professional cyclist, now sports manager and consultant. [2] Sunderland was born in Inverell, a country town in northern New South Wales. He worked double shifts in the Inverell abattoirs to fund his early European racing career. Until he retired at the end of 2004, Sunderland was Australia s longest serving professional cyclist and placed highly in many of the cycling world s greatest events. As a racer, Sunderland had more than his fair share of injuries and setbacks, the most memorable being when he was struck by a car driven by his former director, Cees Priem, during the 1998 Amstel Gold race. [3] Sunderland recovered and the final few years of his career saw a resurgent Scott Sunderland. Sunderland rode his last Tour de France in After his retirement Scott Sunderland became a sports director with Bjarne Riis CSC squad from 2004 until end of He coached the team to consecutive wins in the Paris Roubaix in 2006 and In 2008 CSC squad took the overall victory in the Tour de France with Spanish star rider Carlos Sastre. In September 2008, Sunderland was recruited by the Cervélo TestTeam owner Gerard Vroomen to form his newly-announced professional cycling team Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre followed Sunderland in his move. In early 2009 Sunderland was headhunted by British Cycling and BC High Performance Manager Dave Brailsford and appointed sports manager to help put together a new professional British road cycling team, financially backed by BSkyB. In 2010, Team Sky entered its first year of competition with Scott Sunderland in the position of senior sports director. In February 2010 the team got its first semi-classic victory when Juan Antonio Flecha won the Belgian semi-classic Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with a solo break. Sunderland left Team Sky in May 2010, citing that he wanted to spend more time with his family. Sunderland took up a role as a race director for the National Road Series, Australia s premier domestic road cycling competition, in The guide team has been working in cycling for many years and is based year round in France, Italy and Spain. 6 Accommodation Hotel Relais Monaco, Hotel Villa Rosa, 1 night (23-24 August 2017) 3 nights (27-30 August 2017) This elegant countryside hotel is 8km from central Treviso. It features a 700m² wellness centre, an outdoor pool and a large surrounding park. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Hotel Villa Rosa is right on Desenzano del Garda s lakefront, near a small beach area and a 10-minute walk from the town centre. It offers a restaurant, an outdoor pool and hot tub. Relais Monaco Country Hotel & Spa s modern, air-conditioned rooms feature a private bathroom with shower. All are equipped with a minibar and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Villa Rosa Hotel mixes classic architecture with modern interior design. All rooms have their own balcony and feature free Wi-Fi access and a 32-inch LCD TV. CANCELLATIONS All cancellations must be received in writing. If cancellation is received more than 60 days prior to departure, the deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is received between 60 and 45 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 75% of the total booking cost will be charged. If cancellation is received less than 44 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking cost will be charged. Domestic flights, permits and any accommodation that requires pre-payment must be paid for in full at the time of deposit and are non-refundable. Any change or substitution of a nominated passenger s name after the final payment has been made will be deemed a cancellation, and the applicable cancellation fee will apply. The departure date is the date indicated on the MRH confirmation. If a nominated passenger does not join the tour on the departure date the cancellation fee will be 100% of the total booking cost. If a nominated passenger withdraws from the tour after commencement for reasons of illness, they must obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. MRH makes no representations or guarantees concerning reimbursement of funds paid by a nominated passenger or paid by a representative of a nominated passenger under any insurance claim. The above mentioned cancellation fees are in addition to any that may be charged by travel agents, airlines, hotels or other tour operators. AMENDMENTS Amendment fees will apply to any change on an existing booking. REFUNDS To the extent permitted by law, no refund is available for cancellations after travel has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS Travel documents will be sent to you approximately 21 days prior to departure (providing full payment has been received). If you are leaving home earlier, please advise us so that we can deliver your documents before you depart. AIRPORT TRANSFERS On tours that offer airport transfers as an inclusion, an airport transfer to/from your hotel will be provided on the arrival and departure day of the tour (within the ground suppliers operating hours). Flight details must be provided to MRH no later than 21 days before departure. Once transfers are booked they cannot be changed. Only one inbound and one outbound transfer will be included. In the event of flight delays outside MRH control, the transfers will be deemed to be cancelled. All transfers are based on group transfers, and no refund is available for missed transfers or passengers not using the transfer service. Airport transfers are provided as a service to passengers and it is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that any airport transfer will allow them enough time to connect with their flights. MRH will not be responsible for any flight delays or cancellations caused by the late arrival or departure of an airport transfer, or for cancellation fees associated with a missed flight. TRAVEL INSURANCE It is a condition of travel that each passenger is adequately covered by an appropriate travel insurance policy. Please also check the contingencies of your prospective insurance cover and ensure you are aware of its conditions and omissions. We strongly advise travel insurance from time of booking to provide full cover. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS All customers are required to familiarise themselves with any health requirements specific to countries being visited. PASSPORTS AND VISAS It is the responsibility of the passenger to have a valid passport (which is valid for at least six months from your last day of travel) and all visas, permits and certificates required for the selected tour. Ask your travel agent for further information. BAGGAGE Please check with your airline for applicable baggage allowances. On all tours passengers are limited to 1 suitcase and 1 piece of hand luggage per person. Where a tour includes hotel porterage, this includes one standard suitcase per person, and only applies when the passengers are travelling as part of the group. Porterage is not included when passengers check in and out of a hotel at the start and end of a tour. All baggage and personal effects are at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the tour participant. Baggage insurance is recommended. SINGLE TRAVEL On Group Tours, if you are travelling as a single passenger, you can request that we try to match you in a twin share room with another single passenger of the same sex. Should we not be able to match you in a twin share room by the final tour balance payment date, the single room supplement rate will apply. Should you be matched with another person we cannot be held responsible if the choice is not to your satisfaction. Any twin match must understand that the room must be treated as a non-smoking room unless both parties agree otherwise. Single rooms may be smaller than twin rooms. The single supplement represents a fee passed on to us by the hotels for sole use of a room. TOUR PARTICIPATION If MRH reasonably considers that a passenger is physically incapable of participating in any tour, or that a passenger may be disruptive to the safety or comfort of passengers or staff it may, in the reasonable exercise of its discretion, refuse to carry that passenger on the tour. Passengers are required to advise MRH, at the time of booking, of any physical, medical or other special needs that require accommodating. MRH does not employ medical personnel. Any necessary medical attention will be provided by a local facility at the passenger s expense. MRH is not responsible or liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of medical services obtained while on tour, or for the quality of the care or services received. REFUSAL OF CARRIAGE In the reasonable exercise of its discretion, MRH may remove a passenger from our tours if one or more of the following have occurred or if MRH reasonably believes may occur: (a) The continued presence of the passenger may endanger the safety, health or materially affect the comfort of other passengers; (b) The conduct, age, mental or physical state of the passenger is, or reasonably seems, such as to : require special assistance which cannot be reasonably provided; cause discomfort or make the passenger objectionable to other passengers or accompanying personnel; involve any hazard or risk to the passenger, other passengers or accompanying personnel or property. VARIATIONS All possible effort will be made to adhere to the published touring itinerary. Occasionally circumstances beyond our control will force cancellations, changes, amendments or modifications to the itinerary and its inclusions such as particular events and services. Pre-departure contact You must provide a telephone number, or address where you can be reached, if necessary, within 24 hours prior to your departure from Australia. NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE Anything not specifically included in the tour is at your own expense. Tours sold as land only do not include airfares. AIR TRAVEL Air travel is subject to the conditions and limitations set out in the airline s conditions of carriage. Airfares are subject to change at any time. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the extent permitted by law, MRH excludes all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to physical and psychological injury, and loss or damage to property of whatever nature) that may arise in any way in connection with the offer or supply of goods or services through MRH or any third parties, or in connection with the supply of such goods or services. If the law implies a condition or warranty that cannot be excluded, MRH liability for a breach of the conditions or warranty will be limited as determined by MRH to the re-supply or payment of the cost of re-supplying the relevant goods or services. Except where otherwise stated within these terms and conditions MRH excludes liability for any loss or damage that may be caused by cancellation, abandonment, alteration, amendment, modification or termination of the tour. EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL If a tour cannot proceed due to a force majeure event including but not limited to flood, earthquake, war or civil strife, acts of terrorism, hurricane, cyclone, industrial disturbance, strike, fire, lock out, epidemic, failure or delays of scheduled transportation facilities, or other Acts of God, or any law, order, decree, rule or regulation of any government authority, or for any reason whether of a similar or dissimilar nature beyond the control of MRH, this agreement shall terminate and there shall be no claim for damages by either party against the other. DESTINATION ADVICE MRH makes no representations as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. You should obtain travel advice, including from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade ( COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE Should you have a complaint while on the tour, you should inform your Tour Manager or Tour Guide immediately. If the matter cannot be resolved after their best endeavours to do so during the tour, your complaint must be made in writing to MRH. MRH cannot be held responsible for issues that were not brought to our attention during the course of a tour. LAW OF CONTRACT This agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
