One of the requirements of the permit renewal is that the County update section of the County Ordinance titled Speed Limits - Schedule to reflect the current speed limit schedule on file with GDOT titled List of Roadways for Glynn County (list number ). The County has received a copy of GDOT s list along with the required certifications for adoption and execution. Attached, for your review, is a copy of the proposed ordinance revisions as well as a copy of the GDOT document and certification. ALTERNATIVES: 1. Do nothing. With this option the County will not be able to renew the County s RADAR Permit. 2. Vote against revising the ordinance section. With this option the County will not be able to renew our RADAR Permit. 3. Approve updating the ordinance section. With this option the Police Department can move forward with permit renewal. 4. Direct Staff as to how to proceed. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends alternative #3.

2 FUNDG SOURCE: No cost is associated with updating the County Ordinance and executing the certification. RECOMMENDED MOTION FOR BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS: I move to approve updating section of the County Ordinance titled Speed Limits - Schedule per the attached schedule from GDOT, and authorize the Chairman to execute the certification to GDOT.
