The weather was great and the turn out was the largest we have had. I hope everyone had a great 4 th of July. Thanks to everyone that participated in the parade. We really dressed it up. Also, a great time was had by all that attended the OSC Picnic at the Fourth of July Park. I want to thank Julie and Joe Huygens and Jim Taylor for setting up this great event. On Tuesday, August 5 th, our OSC will do a little something different. For those of you that are not aware, our member Bart Collins plays the tuba in the Old Salem Band and they do concerts in Old Salem regularly sooo thought it would be a fun idea to support our fellow member Bart, and have a fun evening to boot! We will go to the Old Salem Square for the Old Salem Band s Old North State themed concert (FREE) scheduled on Tuesday, August 5 th, driving our classic cars for those attending to enjoy. The concert starts at 7:30 pm and we are requested to be there by 6:30 pm so our cars will be in place when everyone arrives and please be sure to BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS, too, you will definitely need them. There will also be food vendors available in Salem Square for us to partake of, Café Prada & Willie s Wiener Wagon or you can eat somewhere beforehand if that doesn t quite suit your fancy. I believe there just might be some ice cream there, too. This should be an enjoyable evening hope y all can make it! 3
