A solid foundation for your civil infrastructure Material handling equipment to move bulk commodities Processing plants, such as LNG trains Power generation equipment, such as wind farms Various mining operations We bring skills and resources Project management Dedicated project teams Design and geo-tech partners In-house pavement design Mobile equipment Specialist partners for specific mechanical and electrical requirements We have in-house specialist products and capabilities Soil stabilisation, such as BaseBind Dust suppression, such as DustBloc Heavy Duty Pavements, such as RIGIPHALTE Over 30 asphalt plants and crews around Australia Five quarries around Australia and mobile crushing plants Internal national and state technical teams 4

Goonyella Riverside Coal Mine, Queensland Client: BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance Since 2005 Fulton Hogan has supplied over 1.8 million litres of DustBloc, our specialty dust suppression product, to the Goonyella Riverside coal mine to treat 16km of haul road. The project was initiated to improve road quality, but proved to be useful in saving water and reducing costs. DustBloc is a stable emulsion of bitumen in water. It incorporates a number of special additives which assist its absorption into a range of road materials such as crushed rock, crushed ores or clay based materials. Over 300 staff and their mobile equipment were required to complete the civil and earthworks for the Australia Pacific LNG Plant at Curtis island. 5

Port Hedland Berth 2 Copper concentrate stored in full containers stacked four high required a heavy duty lay down area. RIGIPHALTE was the cost effective solution for Sandfire Resources berth at Port Hedland, Western Australia. Collabrative approach We have a strong track record of working together with other parties to achieve project outcomes. It s part of our culture. Fulton Hogan a trusted name When Jules Fulton, an assistant surveyor, and Bob Hogan, a mechanic, lost their jobs with an asphalt company at the height of the Great Depression, they seized the opportunity to form their own quarrying and asphalt surfacing company. From these modest beginnings in 1933, their company has grown to become a major player in the Australian and New Zealand civil construction market that today turns over in excess of of $2b per annum, with over 5000 employees. However, the company s values remain true to its founders vision and it remains mostly owned by the founding families and employees. 6

Peculiar Knob mine site Fulton Hogan worked collaboratively with Arrium to construct their 100km dirt haul road at Peculiar Knob. We used our own laboratories to perform material testing and design the pavement and seal solution by crushing and utilising local rhyolite mining bi-product. We value long-term relationships Fulton Hogan values and fosters open and honest relationships with its customers, employees, suppliers and contractors. In all aspects of our business, we insist on honestly, integrity and fairness. Over 90 percent of our construction work is from repeat customers and we have established a reliable pool of suppliers and subcontractors across the country Innovative solutions It begins with a mind set to work together. It requires us to listen carefully to what our customers need. It draws from our intellectual property and experience for bright ideas. It means working together with all stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions. Our expertise is in building a solid foundation and civil infrastructure for the specific mechanical and electrical requirements of our energy customers. Alliances and Partnerships We are known for our collaborative approach We form alliances and partnerships with our customers and suppliers to best meet the customers objectives. Early involvement brings to bear Fulton Hogan s intellectual property and innovative construction methodologies that can deliver better value for money. We are happy to be engaged in the many procurement models which best suits the customer and the project size, risk, complexity, flexibility and scope for innovation. 7

Angurugu to Unbakumba Road, Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory Client: Department of Construction and Infrastructure, Northern Territory The 47.3 kilometre Angurugu to Umbakumba Road was completed in August 2012. As well as providing an all-weather link between Groote Eylandt s two main communities, the road also serves the large BHP Billiton Maganese mine on the island. Everything needed for the project, located 50km off the coast of the Northern Territory, had to be shipped by barge from Darwin, a trip of at least four days in ideal conditions. We understand our customers When our customers are happy, we are asked back again and again. Quality you can trust Trust starts with a quality job performed with a good working relationship. Trust is built over larger and more complex jobs. Trust is strengthened when we face challenges and work together to resolve them. The right price Our competitiveness is proven where a significant part of our work is tendered and won from both the private and public sector. We understand your need for value for money. On-time delivery We understand the operational requirements of our customers takes priority as delays are costly. As such, we work closely with customers to minimise construction time and maximise operational performance. Innovative solutions Collaboration is the key to innovation. We listen to our customer s needs. We then draw from our depth of experience, ideas and better ways to construct. Our innovation aims to maximize the quality of the project and operational performance and to minimize time and cost. 8

Moranbah Airport Upgrade, Queensland Client: BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance Fulton Hogan completed the $14.5 million Moranbah Airport upgrade in April 2011. The airport is owned and operated by the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance, with the primary purpose of flying mining staff to and from Moranbah. Work included construction of a new taxiway and apron and overlaying the existing runway. 9

Barrow Island Runway, Western Australia Client: Ertech Fulton Hogan was appointed by Ertech to repair and resurface the Barrow Island runway as part of the Gorgon natural gas project. Barrow Island is a Class A nature reserve and home to 24 species of fauna that are not found anywhere else in Australia. To comply with the island s world s best quarantine inspection standards everything was completely cleaned and wrapped in plastic prior to deployment to the island, including the mobile asphalt plant.
