Camping at Bewl Water Bewl Water s campsite offers a place for relaxation and serenity in a beautiful natural setting. If you are looking for peace and quiet, a place to unwind and enjoy a tranquil break in a lakeside setting, camping at Bewl Water will have all of your boxes ticked. Bewl Water is the perfect environment for families, couples and small groups that want a chance to enjoy the outdoors and embrace a real break away in the countryside. We do not allow music, large groups or stag and hen parties so that you can expect peace and quiet throughout your stay. Spend your time at Bewl Water with like-minded people who like to enjoy the great outdoors experience where you can have a chat around a real fire and enjoy views over the reservoir. We have all the necessary shower and toilet facilities which include washing up sinks, and fresh drinking water. Please note, these facilities are shared with our water sports users. Our pitches are set out in an open space with plenty of room for children to run around, quiet areas to doze in the summer sun and plenty of communal space to meet your fellow campers. For the benefit of all our neighbours and your fellow campers, we have a strict noise limitation after 10pm through to 9am so if you like to spend your evenings chatting around the fire that s not a problem but if you are a group and want to play music or party til late then Bewl is not the right site for you!

Booking Arrangements Bookings can be made online. Advanced booking is essential, especially for stays during school holidays and bank holiday weekends. At the time of booking we require full payment. We welcome groups of up to 12 to book together however please be aware that this is a family campsite. If you have a larger group that want to camp together do get in touch and we will see if we can fit you in. With plenty of spots to choose from we will let you choose your own pitch when you arrive, we just ask you to be aware of your neighbours and ensure that you leave enough space between the next door tent! Please note: We are a dog friendly camp site for friendly, well behaved, and importantly quiet dogs. Dog friendly...for friendly dogs!
Site Rules All Under 21s must be accompanied by an adult. No hen or stag groups. There is no electric hook up available Strict no noise policy after 10pm Strictly no swimming in the reservoir. Check in between 2pm 8pm Check out by 11am Any damage found to the property or rubbish left at your campsite will be charged for. Fishing is available with a permit purchased from the on-site tackle shop 96 hour cancellation policy, any cancellations made within 96 hours, no refund will be given. If you cancel more than 96 hours before your scheduled arrival, we will refund 50% of the full amount, or hold the full amount as credit to be used at a later date within that season, subject to availability.
CAMPING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Please read our Camping frequently asked questions to answers the common queries. DO YOU TAKE GROUP BOOKINGS? You can book for up to 12 individuals in one group online, if you have a larger group please contact us to discuss. There is no maximum group allowed, but it is subject to availability. DO YOU ALLOW STAG AND HEN PARTIES? No, if it is a party you are after this is not the camp site for you, we pride ourselves on our peaceful environment. DO YOU ALLOW CAMPFIRES? We have a communal fire pit area where you can toast marshmallows and sit enjoying your evenings. There is plenty of seating. DO YOU HAVE RESTAURANTS AVAILABLE AT BEWL? Yes, the Waterfront Café serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks whilst The Boat House Bistro has an excellent menu of freshly cooked delicacies for that special treat. For opening hours speak to your campsite manager or refer to your handbook. IS THERE FRESH WATER AVAILABLE? Yes, there are taps on the camping field and an area for washing up. All tap water is suitable to drink (unless stated) and can be potted for use next to your tents. DO YOU ALLOW DOGS? We are a dog friendly camp site for friendly, well behaved, and importantly quiet dogs IS THERE ELECTRIC HOOK UP? No, unfortunately we don t offer electric hook up. CAN I PLAY MUSIC? You are allowed to play music very quietly up to 10pm, however after that we ask for all noise to be off, and quiet talking around the campfire only. CAN I PARK MY CAR NEAR THE CAMPSITE? Yes you can park in the camping car park near to the main camping field. IS THERE A SHOP ON SITE? No we don t have a mini supermarket although we have a very well stocked café that serves hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals throughout the day, your hand book has up to date information. IS THERE SOMEWHERE I CAN CHARGE MY PHONE? Yes you can charge your phone in the Waterfront café 8am 11am, we ask for a small donation to our charity, the Pickering Drop in Cancer Support Centre based in Tunbridge Wells.
CAMPING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CONTINUED... IS THERE WIFI? Yes in the Boat House Bistro and Waterfront Café BewlWaterMSG DO YOU HAVE GOOD MOBILE PHONE SIGNAL ON SITE? It depends on your network provider, some providers signals are poor. CAN I BUY LOGS FOR THE CAMPFIRE? You won t need to, we will ensure that the campfire is stocked with wood and ready to toast marshmallows from 5pm everyday. WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN/CHECK OUT? You can check in from 2pm 8pm. On day of departure you must check out by 11am. CAN I POSTPONE MY TRIP IF THE WEATHER FORECAST IS BAD? We have a 96 hour cancellation period, where if you cancel within 96 hours, you will lose your payment. If you give us more than 96 hours notice, we will happily keep the payment in credit for you to re book another time, subject to availability. Or you can receive a 50% refund of the full amount. DO YOU HIRE OUT TENTS? We don t hire out tents, there are companies that can arrange this such as www.tent2hire.co.uk and www.contendedcamping.co.uk. CAN I USE A BBQ? You can use your BBQ in our designated areas, there is plenty of space to use but please make sure that you dispose of waste and hot materials correctly. Please do not use any disposable BBQs on the grass, we have areas for these. CAN I USE A CAMPING STOVE? Camping stoves can be used at least 2.5m from any tent, please ensure that these are kept away from any children or pets after use CAN I SWIM IN THE LAKE? Strictly no swimming in the reservoir. IS IT EASY TO FIND? Bewl Water is just off the A21, 20 minutes south of Tunbridge Wells. The campsite is clearly signed from the main entrance. Don t forget check in is from 2pm. If you arrive early there is plenty to see and do, just ask a member of staff for advice on the best way to spend your day. IS THERE A CASH POINT? There is no ATM or cash back facilities at Bewl Water however you can pay by card everywhere on site.
