Matthew 17:20 Our mission is to serve all people for Christian birth, growth, and renewal and this summer we will be exploring what that looks like through our theme, Unleash. Our prayer this summer is that our campers realize that even though their faith may feel small, through Christ they can do the impossible. Our campers will get to experience God s love through exploring His creation, enjoying a wide range of aquatic and ropes activities, worship and small group devotions and more. Activities At Asbury Hills, we have more activities for our campers to do with their age group than will fit into one week! Some activities are offered for all ages while others are age specific. is the cornerstone of our camp sessions. Campers who participate in this camp program become a part of a tradition dating back to our first campers in 1961. From canoeing in the lake and creek hiking down Matthew s Creek to contemporary worship; this program provides something for all campers regardless of their experience at camp or their age. Express Not all campers (or parents) are ready for a full week of camp. Express is a wonderful two night/three day adventure that allows elementary campers to experience a taste of what a week at Asbury Hills looks like. A mock schedule can be found on our website. Family Camp Think camp is only for kids? Think again! You re never too old or too young to come to Asbury Hills. Our Family Camp is a weekend that allows families to come together to experience a condensed version of our program over the course of a fun, faith-filled weekend.
Immerse Immerse, in partnership with SCMYP (South Carolina Ministries With Young People), is a summer event designed for teens with a desire to grow deeper in their faith and strengthen their relationship with Christ. This four day retreat uses powerful worship, spiritual conversations, and Christian fellowship to encourage relationships with God and each other. Youth leaders can register their youth group for Immerse by calling our office. Space is very limited. Counselor-In-Training Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is for senior high campers who want to grow in their leadership abilities, grow in their walk with Christ and want to know what it s like to be a staff member at Asbury Hills. CITs will attend one week of training where they will learn new Christian leadership skills. Rising 11th and 12th graders also have an opportunity to return for a volunteer second week to put their training into practice with hands-on experience. An application and interview is required for this camp.
Eclipse For those junior and senior high campers who are night owls, Eclipse is perfect for you! Eclipse campers will get to experience all Asbury Hills has to offer, just at a different time of day. Campers start their day at lunch and end with midnight worship. Sunset canopy tours, late night pool parties, giant swing in the dark, and more make for a great way to experience Asbury Hills in a different light. (literally) Expedition Expedition is a camp for those who think one week isn t enough enjoy pushing their limits and love seeking new adventures. Over the course of two weeks these junior and senior high campers will get to enjoy a handful of classic Asbury Hills activities while also going on several off-site excursions including rafting and a two night primitive backpacking trip. Over the course of their two weeks, Expedition campers get to bond as a group while growing closer in their relationship with Christ.
What is summer without a refreshing dip in the pool? is for campers who cannot get enough water in their lives. Each day is centered around all of our aquatic activities at Asbury Hills and for junior/senior high campers, also includes an off-site aquatic adventure. Campers will play in the cool, refreshing water all week long while also being refreshed by the true living water. Altitude If staying on the ground isn t adventurous enough for you, check out our Altitude camp. Junior high campers will spend a week climbing the Alpine Tower, zipping through the canopy tour, swinging on the giant swing, spending their home in the woods night in one of our tree houses and more. They will also have an off-site climbing experience.
