Camp Volunteers are requested to arrive at camp by 7:30am and stay in camp until 5:30pm Family Afternoon will be held on Friday, June 9 beginning at 1:00pm. This event will include lunch and drinks for the entire family (courtesy of the Elks Lodge), a special Flag Retirement ceremony, and our Camp Awards ceremony. The Trading Post will also be open during this time. Camper check- out on family afternoon will be at 5pm. Camp Location and Directions: Elks Lodge #242 1113 Sam Rittenberg Drive Charleston, SC 29407 Transportation: Transportation to and from Camp is the parent s responsibility. Car- pooling is welcome, however, information must be provided in the Authorized Pick- Up section and Parent Information section on the registration form in order for the Camp Staff to allow your child to leave the site with anyone. Cub Scout Program Cub Scouts will explore space related activities in science, engineering, math, and technology in a variety of ways, as well as, many Scout adventure related activities including: Cub Scout shooting sports (archery, BB guns, and slingshots), swimming, cooking, crafts or woodworking (dependent on age), scout skills, games, nature hikes, citizenship and service, and much more!

Tiger Program: Our Camp has developed an exciting program to introduce new Tiger Cub Scouts to the fun of Cub Scout Day Camp and Scouting. Tiger Cubs are invited to attend the full week and enjoy a variety of exciting Camp activities that are age appropriate to them. Please note that the Tiger Program requires an Adult Partner (Parent/Guardian) to accompany the Tiger Cub for the full day of camp each day they attend. Incoming Tiger Cubs must also complete a Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout registration prior to registering for Camp. Contact your local Pack or call Coastal Carolina Council Headquarters 843-763- 0305. New This Year Tot Lot The Tot Lot provides a Day Camp experience for under age children of Adult Volunteers only! The Tot Lot is offered free of charge to persons wanting to volunteer but requiring care for smaller children. Children in the Tot Lot will enjoy age appropriate day camp activities throughout the day. A parent MUST be volunteering in camp at all times while their child is in the Tot Lot. In addition, each attendee in the Tot Lot must be toilet trained. Fee Structure: Girl s Galaxy Mission: This year we are pleased to offer an opportunity for older girls to participate more fully in our Camp activities. Girls in this Girl s Galaxy Mission will travel to the program stations, just as the Cub Scouts do. The Girls Galaxy Mission is offered free of charge to persons wanting to volunteer but requiring care for their older girls. A parent MUST be volunteering in camp at all times while their child is in the Girl s Galaxy Mission. Girls must be at least 7 years of age to attend the Girl s Galaxy Mission. Younger siblings will be assigned to the Tot Lot referenced above. Type Date Cost Eligible Early Registration Before April 1 $90 Registered Cub Scouts Lion Arrow of Light Regular Registration April 1 May 14 $100 Registered Cub Scouts Lion Arrow of Light Late Registration May 15 May 30 $110 Registered Cub Scouts Lion Arrow of Light Volunteer Discount: Full week volunteers will receive a $20 discount to be applied to one (1) Scout in their family. You must volunteer all day for all fiver (5) days of camp to receive the discount. See the next page for more information on becoming a Volunteer or contact the Camp Director. In addition Volunteers will receive free care for their non- scouting children (in the Tot Lot or Girl s Galaxy Mission) during their volunteer time as noted previously. What s included in the Fees? Camp fees for Cub Scouts include receipt of one (1) camp t- shirt, one (1) camp backpack, one (1) commemorative camp patch, and covers the expenses for the use of our camp facilities, activities, equipment, special program guests, daily water bottles and snack, and other Camp needs. What is not included in the Fees? Lunch is not included in the camp fee. Each camper, sibling in the Tot Lot or Girls Galaxy Mission, and volunteer must bring their own lunch every day of camp.

What to Wear/Bring to Camp? Camp Uniform: Shoes: Shirt: All persons in camp (Cub Scouts, Siblings, Youth Volunteers, and Adult Volunteers) must wear closed toe shoes to camp. Flip flops, sandals, and crocs will not be allowed in camp. Anyone not wearing approved footwear will be asked to leave Camp or sit in the Administrative office until appropriate footwear is provided. Every Camp participant must wear the official Camp T- shirt to camp everyday. These shirts are part of how we ensure the safety of our campers. If you need extra shirts they can be purchased for $10 each on the registration form. Shorts/Pants: We suggest that campers wear swimming trunks to camp each day. Changing from shorts to swim trunks is time consuming and campers often end up missing much of their swim time. Wear swim trunks not only offers them more time to swim, but also allows for quicker drying should their pants get wet during other activities during the day. Towel/swimwear: All campers will need to bring a towel to camp daily. Scout Dens and Girl s Galaxy Mission will have session in the pool daily and children in the Tot Lot will enjoy an age appropriate water play area/activity daily. Drinks: Lunch: All persons in camp (Cub Scouts, Siblings, Youth Volunteers, and Adult Volunteers) are responsible for providing his/her own lunch daily. Refrigeration for lunch items is not available at our campsite! It is advised that each Camper bring their lunch inside of a labeled, lunch bag/box with a frozen drink or ice pack inside to help keep their lunch cool (if necessary). The camp will provide one (1) fresh unopened bottle of water to each person attending Camp (Cub Scouts, Siblings, Youth Volunteers, and Adult Volunteers) daily. In addition, the camp will provide canteens of water and Gatorade at each station for refilling those bottles throughout the day. Each person in camp is expected to keep up with their water bottle, refilling it as needed throughout the day, and recycling it at the end of the day. Trading Post: A Trading Post will be open on the first and last day of camp. The Trading Post will be sponsored by the Coastal Carolina Scout Shop and will feature items from the Scout Shop including handbooks, crafts, specialty kits, discounted items, and much more!

Pack Volunteer Requirements: Each Pack represented at camp is REQUIRED to provide a point of contact for their Pack and a minimum of one Volunteer for every five (5) Scouts from that Pack attending camp. The point of contact will be responsible for ensuring that the Volunteers are registered, trained, and at camp on time to fulfill this requirement.
