GOOD SAM NORTHERN KENTUCKY ANGELS SEPTEMBER 2016 Our September 9, 10 and 11 th campout weekend was held at Two Rivers Campgrounds in Carrolton, KY with Mike, Cathy, Steve and Jessie as hosts and hostesses. Those present and camping were Norma, Jud, Rick, Pam, Nick, Rita, Gale, Jim, Kim, Bob, Noel, Carol, Kathy, Jim, Nick, Darla, Terri, Greg, Linda, Richard, Mike, Pam, Mae, Stephanie, Donnie, Mike, Cathy, Stephen and Jessie. WOW, what a great turnout. We all went to General Butler lodge where Al and Marianne joined us for the buffet for Friday night dinner and it was really good. However, ordering from the menu was also an option. I believe everyone really enjoyed the lodge. On Saturday morning, our host supplied everything for a very delightful breakfast and all those that contributed helped top it off. They supplied some delicious Mexican foods with lots of goodies with fruits and sweets. A few of the girls played some cards at the shelter in the afternoon. And then we were entertained by our lovely musicians. Those in the group were Steve, Jessie, Greg, Gale and Jim. They sounded great. The weather was not so bad. It was very warm for September and very windy. We also had a couple of quick downpours but after the rain, the sun came out and we enjoyed our potluck outside. We were treated to a variety of delicious Mexican food (beef tacos and chicken fajitas) prepared by Mike, Cathy, Jessie and Steve. We had such wonderful side dishes and just plenty of tasty desserts supplied by all our members. Everyone always seems to go that extra mile to bring something truly wonderful to share. Later in the evening, we had a great campfire that kept us all warm. We really enjoyed just sitting around the fire and telling tales. Thanks to our hosts and hostesses for doing such a tremendous job. OCTOBER 7, 8, AND 9 CAMPOUT Hosts/Hostesses Our wonderful handsome men PLACE: Lively Lady, Aberdeen, Ohio. We were truly entertained as well with the City of Carrollton having a Band and BBQ Festival over the weekend. It was just through a grassy area and across the street. Several of our group visited the festival and had some tasty BBQ offerings. On Saturday, we were entertained by an aerial show which was very nice. Then later in the evening after dark, there were fireworks. What a great time we had. We had such a great turnout with 13 rigs camping. And I am happy to announce that Terri and Greg are proud owners of a new RV, an Allegro Open Road. The campgrounds was totally sold out. There was never a problem with the other campers. We had total use of the shelter all weekend. Believe me, it was much cooler under the shelter, too. Thanks, again to all those that made a fun time for all.
