YMCA CAMP SILVER CREEK OVERNIGHT & DAY CAMP PROGRAMS OUR PROGRAM & VALUES YMCA Camp Silver Creek brings 76 years of tradition to our day and overnight camps. We believe and teach the values of the YMCA: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Caring through our intentional camp programming. From the early morning Polar Bear Club to evening campfire, campers are engaged in activities that are fun, challenging and memorable. OUR FACILITIES YMCA Camp Silver Creek is located on private acreage in Silver Falls State Park. Our camp has a Dining Hall, a Recreation Hall, an Arts & Crafts Lodge, a heated pool, a small lake, and an archery range. Along with this, we have our own creek to play in, the Void to explore and build forts in, and a massive field perfect for all camp games, sports and hanging out with friends. Due to historic age of our facility, we are not ADA accessible. CAMP LIFE Our camp is built with four housing units. Each unit has 6 camper cabins, restrooms, and a lodge. Campers are placed in units based on age and program type. Cabins are small and rustic with no electricity. Each cabin houses 1 counselor and up to 7 campers allowing tightknit relationships to form quickly as campers develop camaraderie and work to make decisions as a group. Campers choose many of their own activities during skill groups and choice time. Campers sit in counselor groups in the dining hall to enjoy 3 nutritionally balanced meals each day. OUR STAFF Camp professionals supervise our outstanding staff which is comprised of young adults, most in their college years. Our staff are selected for their leadership skills and abilities to create a safe and positive environment for campers. They have a passion for working with youth and being outdoors what camp is all about! Our staff are trained in child development, behavior management, relationship building, and camp activities and all are First Aid/CPR certified.
