Polls open at 6:00AM and close at 8:00PM It s one of the fastest growing recreational activities that all age groups can participate in regardless of skill level. Over 2 million players! As Hainesport Township Committee continues to look for new ways to benefit the community and its residents, they were fortunate enough to receive a grant from the Burlington County Freeholders for $180,000. After input from the Committee and an opportunity for public input it was decided to apply for money to build Pickleball courts. It will allow for 6 pickleball courts to be added to the Municipal Township recreational complex located on Marne Highway. This will also allow Hainesport Township school K-8 to take advantage of this new activity. The game is played on a modified tennis court utilizing a net, wiffle ball, and an enlarged table tennis paddle. It can be played as singles or doubles and it is national and international. One senior citizen at age 80 said I had a tough time just moving around and closing my hands, and look at me now as he flexed his hands open and shut and made a fist!
