INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF CLASSICAL HOMEOPATHY Built in 1995, the IACH is the leading academic organization for educating medical students, doctors and serious health professionals in the science and art of classical homeopathy according to the effective principles introduced by the founder of homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. The various IACH courses suit the needs of students from all over the world wherein the internationally acclaimed Prof. George Vithoulkas imparts over fifty-five years experience from his effective practise of homeopathy, accompanied by his team of qualified homeopaths. SUMMER POSTGRADUATE COURSES 2017 Every year, hundreds of students gather from every corner of the world to attend our Postgraduate courses. The courses feature: Live Case-taking Case analysis Pathology evaluation Comparison of remedies We were offered a wonderful opportunity to be here on this island to learn Homeopathy. I am happy to be here again for the 2nd year in order to receive with great attention the authentic and full of good sense teaching of Prof. Vithoulkas. I have enjoyed the friendship that we encounter every morning at the beginning of the course. Homeopathy is difficult but with good teachers I hope I will succeed. Homeopathic Philosophy Prescribing strategies Differential Diagnosis The classes are taught mainly by Prof. Vithoulkas with assistance from his team of qualified homeopaths. I was delighted to be in a course with Prof. Vithoulkas and to be directly inspired by his great passion for Classical Homeopathy. His clear mind gave us the right instructions for understanding the process of healing and complete the right approach to the patient.
SUBJECTS COVERED Each course consists of Live Cases with: case-taking, case analysis, pathology evaluation, comparison of remedies, Homeopathic Philosophy, prescribing strategies and in-depth insight into the difficulties encountered in Homeopathic practice taught by Prof. Vithoulkas and his wealth of 55 years of experience. The courses intend to show the correct way of thinking during the process of case taking. Further discussion on the Levels of Health Theory is also part of the lessons. As you know, The Levels of Health Theory is breaking new ground not only for homeopathy but also for medicine in general. I feel that the course was exactly what I needed at this time, careful analysis of the cases with the help of experienced homeopaths. It has been encouraging to see and meet so many homeopaths from all around the world who have the same goal in mind -the correct way of practicing. The purpose of the Academy is to prepare students to become real effective Homeopaths" with Classical Hahnemannian Homeopathy. The Island of Alonissos The island of Alonissos belongs to the Sporades islands group. It is famous for its clean, crystal waters and the vivid green landscape. Surrounded by pine trees, the beaches of Alonissos offer a picturesque environment to relax. Votsi, ChrissiMilia, Glyfa and Rousoum Gialos are the most famous beaches. The location of Chora - the old village - on top of a hill, offers amazing view to the Aegean Sea and the green nature of Alonissos. Patitiri, Votsi and Roussoum Gialos are the most touristic places of the island, while the beaches are actually small coves with crystal waters and relaxing atmosphere.

Getting to Volos from Athens By bus - travel time 4-4.5 hours (a bus leaves every 1-1.5 hours) Intercity Bus Station Liosion Station (Tris Gephires) Getting to Agios Konstantinos from Athens Alkyon Travel offers bus transportation to Agios Konstantinos (travel time 2.5 hours) The bus takes you directly to the port and arrives approx. 1 hour before the departure of the ferry. From May until September there are a number of direct flights from main European cities to Skiathos. Accommodation in Alonissos There are THREE main villages located near the Academy. (There are also other important tourist resorts in Alonissos, but they are not in close proximity) The largest settlement is Patitiri, which is also the main harbor of Alonissos. Very near to Patitiri are Rousoum Gialos and Votsi, two small seaside villages. Votsi is the closest location, approx. 10-15 min. on foot to the Academy All these locations feature hotels, pensions, restaurants, shops, and traditional Greek taverns. Going to the International Academy takes about 5 minutes by car, or about 30 minutes of walking There are several car and bike rental agencies on the island, as well as a taxi service. Q & A Do I need to rent a car or bike? Although the distances (from the main villages to the Academy) are small (1-4 km) you do need to consider that you will be coming to the Academy twice a day and you might want to visit other places too. Is there public transportation on the island? During the summer months there are municipal buses that run on a regular basis from the central port (Patitiri) to the Old Village and the village of Steni Vala. What hours do the shops open? The shops open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9-10 p.m all through the week, including Sundays. How about meals? There is a variety of options for meals in tavernas and restaurants in all the main settlements (Patitiri, Votsi, Roussoum Gialos, Old Village)
