SPEAKERS GLENN PORTER of Energy Skills Queensland which is an industry body established to assist the energy industry to understand its future skill needs and develop appropriate workforce strategies. IAN GRAY Dr Ian Gray is a geotechnical, mining, civil, and petroleum engineer. He is the Managing has been in the business of providing solutions to the coal mining and coal gas industries. JAMES PLUMB at industry conferences and has been published in academic journals on topics relating to his area of expertise. James is a partner in Carter Newell s Resources group and is a specialist lawyer in the field of Resources law. NEIL MAKEPEACE Neil Makepeace has extensive experience delivering a series of complex consulting engagements in the resources sector. Neil has previously led an organisation of 600 engineers and support staff, conducting enterprise information management and ICT systems delivery for diverse multinational stakeholders. LUKE CONNELL Dr Connell is a Stream Leader of the CO 2 Geological Storage and Transport Stream which conducts a range of research on geological storage of CO 2 and Team Leader, with CSIRO s Earth Science & Resource Engineering Division. PETER PEARSALL and Mines, Queensland Government. His role involves the co-ordination and undertaking of a Whole of Government approach to a one-stop shop for the regulating and compliance of the CSG industry. PETER ROBINSON appointment was at Boeing as the Director, Integration and Test Manager, and largest defense projects. ROBERT DRAVERS Robert Dravers assists small and mediumsized companies overcome financial barriers to their export success. SHANE CHARLES Shane is the CEO of Toowoomba Regional Enterprise and Surat Basin Corporation. Shane has been interested in the economic development of the Toowoomba region since Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc.
