THUNDERWORD VOLUME 7 ISSUE 9 SEPTEMBER 2018 Club Officers President Vince Luppino (267) 808-1989 Luppinov@verizon. net Vice-President Tom Hollenbach (610) 703-6315 spokes5662@gmail. com Well car enthusiasts, car lovers, car people, whatever you want to classify yourselves as, here we are in September. You have about 60 days until this car show season is shot, done, caput, finished, So if you have not gotten to an event this year, you are running out of time fast. I know it has not been the most exemplary show season on record. We had a lot of rain! You still have some time. Hopefully you are registered for the Slatington Lions Club Show Sunday, September 2nd. We have the club cruise to Peddlers Village on the 15th of September. The Hagley Car Show is Sunday, September 16th in Wilmington, Delaware and also Sunday, September 16th is the Moore Township Lions and Lioness Club Show in Bath, Pa. September 23 will be Cruise Night at East Penn Diner (see flier in this newsletter). Secretary Barbara Melnyk (610) 279-6279 knitwitbarb@verizon.net Treasurer Walter J. Fries Jr. (610) 759-4997 wfriesjr@aol.com Newsletter Editors Tom Hollenbach (610) 703-6315 spokes5662@gmail.co Stephen Rivera (610) 216-8051 stephenr414@gmail.com For the Latest Information on Club Events, Call our Message Center at (610) 218-1500 Website: http://lehighvalleythunderbirdclub.com Opinions expressed by those who contribute to the THUNDER- WORD NEWSLETTER are their own and do not necessarily reflect the policy of the LEHIGH VALLEY THUNDERBIRD CLUB INC. And now fall is quickly approaching and there are some shows to attend. Recently, at the Wheels of Faith Car show Tom, Walt and I were talking about our club. Other than our Nazareth Days Car Show, we as a club, have not attended a show together. So one of the nicest shows coming up is the North Catasauqua Autumn Fest and Car Show on October 13, 2018. Let s plan to attend as a group. The show features a craft show, vendors that sell some good food and desserts, and there is always a candy and fudge stand if you have a sweet tooth. The form is in this newsletter, so fill it out and send it in and let s go! I would like to thank Tom Hollenbach for taking over the newsletter as editor again. Tom is a stickler for the deadline, so you will be getting your newsletter in a timely manner now. Thanks Tom! Our upcoming General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 4th at the Parkland Restaurant. I am asking that you attend so we can decide on hosting a VTCI convention for 2019. Years ago our club was a member of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International and due to similar issues, that occurred with ITC recently, our Club dropped out. Being associated with a National Club helps a local club s members get help with maintenance and service of their cars and discounts from parts suppliers. So, Lehigh Valley rejoined VTCI several years ago. The VTCI has many members in the Northeast area and it has been a long time since they held a convention here, and they are asking us to host one for them. At this upcoming meeting we need to make a decision, PLEASE ATTEND!!!!! See You Soon. Thanks, Vince SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAYS Alan Miller 9/2 John J.
