Journey along the Amalfi Coast to pretty Positano, a celebrated seaside resort that has inspired many artists and writers over the years. Continue along the coastline during a cruise to Amalfi town. While sailing, notice the colorful villages and villas clinging to the cliffs a true sight to behold! D Tonight, enjoy a delectable dinner of regional cuisine at a local establishment in Sorrento. Day 4 B L Paestum Discovery: Paestum. Visit the ancient Greco-Roman city of Paestum, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The spectacular grounds of the city include ancient defensive walls, the standing remains of three major Doric-style temples and a variety of impressive ruins. AHI Connects: Meet the People. Dine on regional cuisine during lunch. Meet a few of the employees or owners of the restaurant and learn about their lifestyles and experiences. On your return to the hotel, see the lovely town of Salerno, an old town that is considered to be one of Italy s best-preserved historic centers. Enrichment: Archaeological Wonders. Prepare for your visit to the National Archaeological Museum tomorrow by learning about the museum s antiquities collection. Day 5 B L Naples Discovery: Highlights of Naples. This dynamic capital city welcomes visitors with a vivacious spirit. During a panoramic tour, enjoy impressive city views from Posillipo Hill, and see Castel Nuovo, San Francesco di Paola, Teatro di San Carlo and Piazza del Plebiscito. Visit the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, one of the world s most important archaeological museums. Inside, see its collection of art and objects from Herculaneum and Pompeii,

including a superb display of mosaics. Finish off your adventure in Naples while savoring a local specialty for lunch. Pizza was born in Naples, and Neapolitan pizza is even recognized by UNESCO. Usually prepared with flavorful San Marzano tomatoes and creamy mozzarella di bufala, genuine Neapolitan pizza is simply unbeatable. Day 6 B D Sorrento Free Time: Join our Elective Excursion to Capri or craft your own path today. Perhaps visit Sorrento s Town Hall, the baroque Church of Saint Francis or the Correale di Terranova Museum, housed in an 18th-century palace. ELECTIVE The Isle of Capri. Travel by hydrofoil to the enchanting Isle of Capri, a celebrated resort. Sail along the Capri coast, passing hidden swimming coves, caves and grottos. Walk along Capri s scenic lanes and visit the Augustus Gardens, incredible terraced gardens with bougainvillea vines, marbled statues and lily ponds. Enrichment: Mount Vesuvius Horrors and Splendors.
