Come join us in exploring the Otay Valley Regional Park, the hidden jewel of southern San Diego. The Otay Valley Regional Park planning area runs from the Upper/Lower Otay Lakes at the foot of Jamul mountains all the way to San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. That s nearly 13 miles of park planning area that consists of 8,869 acres of land and the river corridor. Currently OVRP is open to the public west of I-805 to the Wildlife Refuge. Areas east of I-805 are still under development, but you can visit us at Otay Lakes Regional County Park. You can explore the park by hiking, jogging, mountain biking and horseback riding. You can also simply take a leisurely stroll with your family to enjoy the bountiful natural environment which are home to variety of wildlife, including some endangered animals and plants that are protected. Participate in Adventure Passport programs, collect all passport stamps while learning, playing and exploring the park.
