Treasurer s report: The Treasurer s report was read by Dick Husting and approved. Field condition: The field was reported to be in good condition but is very wet. The golf cart should not be used until the ground is dry enough to drive without leaving ruts. The mower has been serviced and is ready to go for the season. The field will be rolled as soon as it is dry enough to do so. Old Business: Fun fly-tom Johnson reported on his efforts to get donations for pilots/public raffles, it has been slow going so far. Scott Orten volunteered to contact the Lakeshore Chinooks for a donation, and also volunteered to deliver the event notification letter to the town of Grafton. New business: The date of the R/C Association swap meet was listed incorrectly by the secretary. The correct date for the event is 1/28/18. The new member pamphlet is done and is ready for distribution. Peter Pavelic suggested that the club look into putting a sign up at the entrance to the field, and Scott Orten volunteered to check the local ordinances to see what form the sign might take, and how the application process would work with the town board. Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM. May Meeting This month s club meeting is April 15, 7:30 pm at the Grafton Senior Center. continues next
Show and Tell 2 Tom Johnson displayed his Grumman F7F from Motion R/C. This is a nicely detailed model constructed of foam with flaps, retractable landing gear, and landing lights. The model uses two 2S 4000 MAH battery packs powering twin brushless motors with counter rotating props. Tom reported that the maiden flight will come soon.
Show and Tell 3 Mike Crotteau displayed his Multiplex Twinstar, a foamie with twin brushless motors and counter rotating props. Mike also stated the maiden flight for this model would be coming soon. Jim Hendrickson displayed his Night Vapor backyard flyer, recently acquired from Steve Tarney and restored to flying condition. (Editor s note: we will have to use our imagination to visualize Jim s craftsmanship as there is no photographic record of the presentation.)
