Flight by an Unmanned system can be: FLYING AN UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEM 1. for recreational and sport purposes 2. for the performance of flight operations - use of an unmanned system, regardless of whether for remuneration or not, for aerial work (such as aerial photography, aerial advertising, aerial surveillance, fire protection and similar). APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS 1. FLIGHT BY AN UNMANNED AIRCRAFT FOR RECREATIONAL AND SPORT PURPOSES - Flying is allowed only in Classes I and II areas of operations Class I The area with no elevated structures or facilities nor people, except the Handler and personnel necessary for flying. Class II - The area with auxiliary farm buildings or structures not intended for stay and without people, except the Handler and personnel necessary for flying. It is allowed for people to occasionally pass through the area, but without retention (cyclists, pedestrians, etc.). - Insurance is mandatory only if the operating mass of the unmanned is equal or greater than 20kg - Approval for the use of radio frequency spectrum Approval can be found on the HAKOM's official site https://www.hakom.hr/default.aspx?id=96 Approval depends of radio frequency spectrum which unmanned system uses (eg. For radio frequency band 2.400 2.483 GHz General Approval OD-16 is applicable ( Opća Dozvola OD-16), and for frequency band.2.8 GHz General Approval OD-92 is applicable (Opća Dozvola OD-92) - Unmanned system must be labeled with a non-flammable identification plate when the mass of the system is greater than kg Non-flammable identification plate must contain the following information: - The identification mark of unmanned system, - Owners contact information (name, surname, address, phone/e-mail) - Flying an unmanned must be performed in accordance with applicable regulations on the use of Croatian airspace and the provisions of Ordinance on unmanned systems (Article 11 and 12 of the Ordinance are applicable) - Prior to flying in controlled airspace, it is necessary to obtain approval from the Croatia Control For more details see: http://www.crocontrol.hr/default.aspx?id=30 2. FLYING AN UNMANNED AIRCRATFT FOR THE PURPOSE OF FLIGHT OPERATIONS - Applicable requirements for performing flight operations depend on the flight operations category (A, B, C and D) that the operator plans to perform, and can be found in continuation 1
