Laura will share her favorite strategies for creating uniquely beautiful seasonal and holiday wreaths, including tips and tricks for crafting stylish designs using both every day and unexpected materials. Learn special techniques for creating beautiful holiday homes and get a rare insider s peek into what it was like to create inspiring décor for the iconic White House Christmas. b. Upcoming Events November - COMMUNITY EVENT @Johnson Dean Forest Preserve Sunday, November 4, 2018 Hours 2:00 to 4:00PM The Enchanted Forest Come turn your Halloween pumpkins into Fairy Houses using items found in nature. Line the forest path with public art which will be on display through the month of November. This will be an Environmental Education program to create a sense of connection to and stewardship for this local forest. The objective is to engage people in a positive experience and attract them to the preserve. Members bring natural dried material and shallow cardboard boxes or cardboard box lids to the cottage between now and 11/4. (Costco is a great source for boxes.) - EVENING PROGRAM MEETING, November 12, 2018 Holiday Centerpieces Phillip Morrow, Floral Designer 7PM RSVP by Friday, November 9 th to Linda DeMaris. - SERVICE PROJECT To install native plants in the Johnson Dean Forest Preserve, 3pm to 5pm Wednesday, November 14, 2018 c. Meryl Wilkerson is our city contact. She is also a former president of the Norcross Garden Club. - On Thursday, 10/18 @ 7AM Volunteers: Linda DeMaris, Leanne Penman, Trudy Rudert and Terrie Watch collected Gaura, Alocasia, Caladium, Plumbago, Globe Amaranth seeds and Margarita Potato Vine tubers. - We have not heard back from Carl Redman Member of Sustainable Norcross Commission Possible Plant Rescue at the former WestRock site between Thrasher and West Peachtree is being redeveloped as a multi-use (primarily residential) campus.
