This is one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world and is based on an art form made popular in the 1800's. Walk inside the circular painting and be surrounded by the immense artwork. A spectacular 3D effect is achieved in this painting with its detailed artwork and realistic perspective and the story that traces the history of the Bounty leaving England through Tahiti, Pitcairn Island and arrival at Norfolk Island in 1856. Christian Brothers Cheese Tour Christian Brothers Cheese Company is a boutique dairy and cheese producer started by two island brothers Glen and John Christian. The two over two hours will take you through a local farm with beautiful ocean views where you ll meet the milk cows, try the milking machine, see beehives and hear about producing the local honey. A quick visit to the local sawmill is an added bonus. The tour travels to Glen s house where you sample the range of cheeses with tasty condiments and complementary wine. Enjoy the scenic ocean and valley views from the verandah whilst cheesemaker John gives you an informative talk. A Little Bit Country Tonight, after dinner at one of Norfolk s hotels, your host performs alongside the rest of the week s entertainers. Day 7 Wednesday 31 July 2019 (B, D) Breakfast Bush Walk/Trial of the 15/ at a Norfolk Hotel/Sound and Light Show Breakfast Bush Walk This morning take your choice of a stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. If you prefer not to rise early and bush walk you ll be picked up a little later and taken to join the walkers at Anson Bay as they return from their walk and where you ll all enjoy a delicious breakfast barbecue on the clifftop. Trial of the Fifteen The Trial of the Fifteen is a short historical drama that has been running on Norfolk for many years and played to thousands of patrons. You are an eyewitness to a courtroom drama as fifteen extraordinary characters step on stage to expose Norfolk's colourful and sometimes turbulent past. The testimony of those on trial reveals the story of Norfolk Island - Polynesian visitation, European discovery, convict misery and the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders. Sound and Light Show Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the Convict Settlement. The stillness and the stars are there just as they were before settlers arrived in 1788. With the dramatic use of real life sounds, theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Pinetree Tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island s convict era.
