Sunday night, there was some pretty heavy rain at times, which led to cancelation of all evacuation notices at Noon, yesterday (Monday, 9/18). Again, we can t thank the firefighters from near and far, who came to fight and protect the south coast communities of Brookings & Harbor., and isolated homes in the area. Job Well Done! EAGLE CREEK FIRE With rains helping, the fire has slowed, but issues surrounding the fire have continued to snarl east/ west traffic on 1-84, which continues to be closed east bound, but open west bound, with limited opportunities to leave the interstate. ARLINGTON To further complicate east/west travel, I-84 closed at Arlington due to a tragic accident involving a wrong-way driver (deceased), and a semi-truck full of cars (driver ok). All of which burned. I-84 was still closed Tuesday morning at 11:00 am. NEED A FUN BREAK?
