Key FINDINGS Key findings included: Local people are proud of Southall s cultural diversity. More needs to be done to encourage aspirational young people to stay in Southall. The existing high levels of traffic and congestion are a key local issue that needs to be responded to. There is an opportunity to diversify the retail offer in Southall and attract more well known stores/ high street brands. There is a need for new homes to address problems of overcrowding in Southall. There is a desire for leisure and non-faith based community facilities in the area.
