President s Message President s Message I would like to extend a special welcome to all new and returning club members. Anyone seeing a new member at a club meeting or event should be sure to extend a warm welcome and ask them to join your table. Summer is Touring time. Our exciting touring schedule began with the Forestville parade on May 30, 2015. Short as this parade is, I have always looked at it as the official start of the REMTC touring season. When touring the golden rule is to stop if you cannot see the car in back of you. This sounds simple, but it is hard to put into practice. No one wants to be left behind on an unfamiliar route so make sure you are looking for the car behind you... Forestville s very small but well attended parade featured the Grand Marshal, Ross Yeager, who turned 100 years old on March 29th. Ross rode in Ted & Dianna Shimkowski s 1914 Touring and had a great time. Our T s also carried the business person of the year, volunteers of the year and citizen of the year. We took a short tour up, up, up, Green Valley Road, back through Graton and returned to the Youth Park for their great Barbecue chicken, brisket, ribs etc. Forestville Parade This is our 22nd year with the parade. The kids line the streets to catch the candy we throw. Forestville Youth greatly appreciate the participation of our Club every year. Thanks so much to all 15 Model T s and guests who drove in the parade and participated in the Barbecue. Until next year... Forestville thanks you! 9
