5 I.T.T.H.C. Treasure News Page 5 At the board meeting on January 26th the board discussed the Broken Arrow Neighbors situation and also discussed furthering our participation with a community service of the members choosing, if any. At the upcoming meeting on February 11th President Greg Wicks is going to discuss the subject of the Broken Arrow Neighbors plus any other discussion of a community service that the members want to discuss. Jean Dick and Marge Wierzchowski have been coordinating this event for the past 13 years and have decided that is time to step down from this project. To: ITTHC Board Re: Broken Arrow Neighbors - Community Service I have enjoyed being our club's community service contact the Broken Arrow Neighbors Organization. I know our efforts are genuinely appreciated and utilized wisely to help those going through hard times in our local communities. However, I feel that the response by our club members has drastically fallen off from previous years and know that members have many other worthy causes of there own to support. Also, I realize I haven't been the best spokesperson for this effort since I wanted to be sensitive to club members' situations and not make them feel like they had to contribute. In addition, Marge Wierzchowski who serves as co-chairman has major health issues that she is dealing with. Unfortunately, many of us are having to focus on our own health and need to lighten our responsibilities. Therefore, I think it is best for us to discuss whether ITTHC wishes to continue with a community service of some type or not. I will still be happy to deliver anything club members wish to donate to BAN, however, I wish to step-down as coordinator. Thank you! Jean
