Drop Off Information: On the first day of Camp icare, please bring your camper to Lee-Scott Academy which is located at 1601 Academy Drive, Auburn, AL 36830. During the first morning of Camp icare, we will need to ensure that your child is appropriately registered and that we have your child s completed medical release form and other documents on file. Please drop your camper off each morning at 8:00 a.m. (no later than 8:10 a.m.) in front of Lee-Scott Academy. On the last day of Camp icare, please bring your camper to the Auburn United Methodist Church. Please note that you will also pick your camper up from the AUMC on Thursday. More information regarding exact location at AUMC will be given closer to the camp. Pick up Information: Please pick up your child each day no later than 12:10 p.m. If an emergency situation arises which prevents you from being on time to pick up your child, please call the Camp icare Director (334-703-6123). An extended or delayed pick up will result in a fee of $1.00 per minute and will be assessed beginning at 12:10 pm each day. If you have made arrangements with another person to pick-up your child after camp, please bring a signed note to this effect to check-in on the first day of camp.
Information What to bring/wear to Camp icare : Completed medical release form: Please complete and fax, drop by, or mail a completed medical release form no later than July 1, 2016. Please submit this form to Camp icare, Post Office Box 3983, Auburn, AL 36831 or fax to 334-844-3749. Comfortable and appropriate clothes and shoes: Camp icare participants should wear comfortable summer clothes. Please have your camper wear athletic shoes with closed toes. Open toe shoes such as flip-flops, crocs or sandals are not appropriate footwear for Camp icare. Campers will play outside and will take part in various activities, so please dress them in clothes that can get dirty. What NOT to bring to Camp icare : Portable electronic and/or gaming devices will not be allowed at Camp icare. Skateboards, bikes, or other wheeled devices. Pets of any kind. Food, candy, or chewing gum. Cell Phones: We do not encourage campers to bring cell phones to Camp icare. We understand that parents may feel more comfortable knowing their child is carrying a cell phone. For this reason, cell phones are allowed at Camp icare, however, campers must turn off their cell phones during the morning sessions. If a situation arises in which you need to immediately contact your child, please use the emergency contact information provided. Auburn University is not responsible for cell phones that are lost or stolen during Camp icare. Other Information: Supplies: Camp icare participants will be given supplies for the camp duration including pens, pencils, paper, etc. Please do not bring supplies to Camp icare. Snacks: Camp icare participants will be given a snack during the camp. If the camper has any food allergies, please alert the camp directors immediately and indicate the food allergy on the registration form.

Camp icare is sponsored by the Auburn University College of Human Sciences Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies and the Auburn University Early Learning Center in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Camp icare is a summer camp experience for kids ages 6-12. At Camp icare financial and philanthropic responsibility are taught through engaging and informative courses, activities, and field trip experiences. During this information-packed camp, students will become more in-tuned about being money smart and philanthropically inclined. Who should attend? Does your child think money grows on trees? (Students must have completed Kindergarten.) During Camp icare campers will participate in dynamic, hands-on learning and service oriented activities. What makes this camp unique? Camp icare is the first camp of its kind on the AU campus that is dedicated to teaching kids how to be money smart, understand wants vs. needs, and practice philanthropy. Through this unique learning program, campers will develop their leadership and giving skills while making a positive impact on others. How will Camp icare help my child succeed in the future? Camp icare is designed to foster children s imaginations, develop leadership, encourage compassion, and highlight the need for children to be money smart while helping others. After participating in Camp icare we believe your child will feel empowered and encouraged to make a difference in the world. Are there any scholarships available for Camp icare? A limited number of scholarships are available for Camp icare for those already receiving some type of financial assistance (food stamps, disability benefits, etc.).
