GENERAL Scaurglen sits north of the village of Penpont in rolling Dumfriesshire countryside. Penpont is a pleasant village with a shop, a garage and a primary school. A good range of shops, schools and services is available in the larger village of Thornhil. Thornhill is an attractive and bustling village, well known for its individual shops and boutiques. Follow this road out of the village and continue along it as it becomes a minor public road. After a few miles, you will come to a T junction rising uphill, with white farm buildings directly in front of you (Druidhall). Turn right and continue along the road until you pass Cleuchhead Farm on the left. Continue past the farm towards the wooded area. After passing through the wooded area the Bothy is a short distance on the left. Electricity Not supplied, however there is a supply available approximately 300 yards away at Holehouse Cottage. Drainage There is permission for the tank to be sited to the front and to the left of the bothy.
