Summer 2018 Camp PROGRAMS Information Musical Theatre Intensive Summer Camp PLEASE NOTE THAT SPACE IS EXTREMEMLY LIMITED. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER YOUR CHILD ONLINE TO RESERVE THEIR SPOT. As Haven continues to grow, our goal is to make sure that each of our students are still receiving focused and quality arts education. This particular camp program has been designed to address our Haven students who feel as if they fall through the cracks - students who need that extra boost of instruction in order to achieve their goals. For this reason, we are capping our camper capacity at 30 students only. This small group environment allows for one on one instruction and guaranteed solo performing experiences. A select group of campers will spend their two weeks of camp learning and rehearsing a variety of numbers, which they will present as a Musical Review in a black box theatre performance. With a focus on technique and solo performance opportunities, campers will gain tools for continued growth and future success in our program. Pre-Requisites: Potential campers must have been a cast member in at least one Haven show. - The Musical Theatre Intensive Camp runs from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Wiseburn High School Campus (DaVinci): 201 N Douglas St, El Segundo, CA 90245. Please arrange to drop off your child no earlier than 8:15 AM. Pick up is promptly at 12:30 PM. -Anyone currently in grades 3-9 during the 2017-2018 school year may participate in the Musical Theatre Intensive Camp. -Campers should wear comfortable clothing. Sweats or pajama pants are great. No flip flops. Tennis shoes or dance shoes only. Please keep tummies covered. -Snack will be provided each day. Please arrange to drop off your child no earlier than 8:15 AM. Pick up is promptly at 12:30 PM. -Anyone currently in grades K-5 during the 2017-2018 school year may participate in Disney s 101 Dalmatians KIDS. Limited morning camp spaces are also available for campers who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. -Campers should wear comfortable clothing. Sweats or pajama pants are great. No flip flops. Tennis shoes or dance shoes only. Please keep tummies covered. -Snack will be provided each day. However, you may bring your own snack if you would like. -If your 5 th grade child is participating in both Disney s 101 Dalmatians KIDS and Mary Poppins Jr., they should bring a sack lunch. Afternoon Theatre Camp: Mary Poppins Jr. This year, we made a few adjustments to our Afternoon Camp after realizing that this particular program drew a crowd of campers who were highly capable of absorbing large amounts of material with ease, and who responded well to being pushed in dance and vocal technique during the two weeks of camp. To better accommodate this specific and inspiring group of young performers, we removed lower grade levels and opened up the camp to 9 th graders. This then gave us the freedom to select the challenging and jampacked Mary Poppins Jr. script for our Afternoon campers. We are excited to offer our pre-teens and teens another place to grow and flourish by raising the bar and giving them an experience appropriate to their developmental and skill level. - Mary Poppins Jr. Camp runs from 1:00-5:00 PM. Please arrange to drop off your child no earlier than 12:45 PM. Pick up is promptly at 5:00 PM. - Anyone currently in grades 5 th -9 th in the 2017-2018 school year may participate in Mary Poppins Jr. - Campers should wear comfortable clothing. Sweats or pajama pants are great. No flip flops. Tennis shoes or dance shoes only. Please keep tummies covered. - Mary Poppins Jr. campers will participate in tap workshops during camp. Bringing tap shoes to camp is highly recommended, but not required. - Snack will be provided each day.
