Kmart The Kmart team are thrilled to be a part of the exciting Fairfield Central Stage 2 project. Our store at Fairfield Central will be the first new Kmart store in Townsville since the opening of Aitkenvale in 1977! The Fairfield store is a great opportunity for Kmart to bring our low prices on everyday items to this growth area of Townsville. Our new store concept provides customers with an inspiring and easy shopping experience with the introduction of three worlds kids, home and clothing each with its own distinctive look and feel. Our new store design features include bold colours, clear navigational signage, fitting rooms and checkouts along with combined photo processing, entertainment and lay-by counters to provide an easy way to access these great services. Fairfield Central is the Gateway into Townsville from the south and, as a proud partner with Lancini, we are thrilled at the prospect of complementing the existing Fairfield offer with the expansion.
