Preserve the PAST Fund the PRESENT Invest in the FUTURE Together We Build Community The Downtown Fond du Lac Fund of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation

Together We Build Community The downtown Fond du Lac central business district is the heart of our city. It is here in the heart of our city where tourism thrives and locally owned businesses keep the pulse of Fond du Lac beating. It is here where celebrations and commemorations take place. Where memories are made and our children & grandchildren play. It is our community center.

The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership (DFP) was established in 1999 to establish a diverse, prosperous and healthy district that is the social, commercial and cultural heart of the community. The DFP supports the central business district of the city of Fond du Lac with aesthetic improvements that add to the natural beauty and attractiveness of the downtown area. Over the past 12 years, the DFP has reinvested over $250,000 into our downtown, but we want to do more.

Giving Back to Your Community We need to continually improve the visual appeal of our city and strive to set our city and downtown apart from other communities, improve the quality of life, and create a community where a skilled labor force chooses to reside in. In the increasingly competitive world of employee recruitment, we need to make our city the choice of residency for your personnel and their families.

To accomplish this purpose the DFP has established the Downtown Fond du Lac Fund under the administration of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation. The Downtown Fond du Lac Fund s main premise is to help fund improvements and beautification of Downtown Fond du Lac. We encourage you to invest in our community, and make this a community where your current and future employees choose to reside in. We are asking for your help in contributing to this fund.

Investing in Your Community Please consider how you might become a part of the effort to preserve our history and enhance our future. Your gift today will benefit everyone s tomorrow. You may choose to specifically designate your investment for a particular purpose. Some examples might include: Downtown riverfront & river walk beautification Funding for the design & construction of public art Annual Christmas decorations for downtown streets Addition & maintenance of planters, trees & landscaping Grants for building improvement projects Grants to specifically improve historic properties Decorative signage Benches, banners and decorative lighting

You may choose how your gift will be directed; to the non-endowed or the endowed fund. Non-Endowed: The non-endowed portion of the Downtown Fond du Lac Fund is set up to put your investment to work immediately. Monies from all donors will be pooled to fund projects on a larger scale. Endowment: You may prefer to have your gift become a part of the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership s permanent endowment. Your charitable gift will assure the continuance of revitalization of our historic downtown, forever associating your name or business name with the ongoing efforts to improve downtown Fond du Lac. The Downtown Fond du Lac Fund is managed and invested by the Fond du Lac Area Foundation. A volunteer board of directors governs the funds and their distributions. Gifts to the foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law (as applied to the individual circumstances of the donor).

Thank You Your investment in downtown Fond du Lac is a gift to the entire community. Donations large and small protect the integrity of spirit and place of Fond du Lac. Together we can strengthen the social and historic heart of Fond du Lac for years to come.
